September 2025 marks the beginning of our fall programming, as well as the start of a major upgrade for your Downtown Library! We are updating the entire first floor of the Downtown Library to make it a safe and welcoming building for everyone in our community. The project requires us to close the Downtown Library September 1-7 and then, beginning September 8, the 2nd and 3rd floors will reopen to our Library users. Children and teen materials will be on the 3rd floor. The project is expected to last one year, but as with any construction project, the timeline is subject to change.
So, what does this mean for our programs at the Downtown Library? We will not have any programs downtown during the month of September, and limited programs offered during the construction period. Please check on our boisepubliclibrary.org/calendar for the most up-to-date information. This is also an opportunity to visit our other four Boise Public Library branches, to see all the exciting programs they offer! Like the Downtown Library, the other branches offer a wide variety of children’s programs, as well as gatherings for teens and adults, book clubs, arts and crafts, games, and more!
For the latest information on the Downtown Library construction project, visit boisepubliclibrary.org/construction or scan the QR code. We thank you for your patience as we navigate this exciting renovation!
