The Blue Springs Parks & Recreation Department strives to provide the highest quality recreational activities possible. It is the department’s desire that each customer be satisfied with the recreational activities in which they participate. If a customer is not satisfied, corrective efforts will be made. Each specific request or inquiry is reviewed by staff for its own individual circumstances.
If necessary, we can arrange for one of the following to occur (full or prorated): repeat the activity at no charge, receive credit that can be applied to any other activity at no charge or receive a refund. Requests for refunds and transfers for departmental programs may be subject to a $5 transfer and $7 refund administrative processing charge. Request for refunds must be made within two weeks following a particular program.
The Parks & Recreation Department Office must be notified by the end of the following business day in order to request a refund or transfer of ball field rentals that are rained out. If a program is canceled or session dates and/or times are altered by the Parks & Recreation Department, we will be happy to process a full refund. For ticket sales involving trips or theme park attractions, all sales are final.

This six-week program addresses the importance of deep stretching to help people of all levels and ages move and feel better with less pain. The focus of this class is on slowing down, connecting with the breath and experiencing deep release in the joints, ligaments and connective tissues using a variety of gentle yoga-inspired poses featuring 2-5 minute holds per pose.
This is a great class for athletes of all levels/sports, as well as “desk job types” with little to no exercise experience who want to recover from injuries, reduce joint/back pain, muscle tightness and stress, as well as improve flexibility, mobility, circulation, performance and mental focus/well-being.

Two nurses come to Vesper Hall once a month. One is a stroke specialist, and the other does screening for blood pressure and glucose.

Join us for Falun Dafa, a self-cultivation practice of the Buddha School, that teaches five slow and gentle exercises, including sitting mediation.
This video-instructed class is excellent for beginners and those who want to be seated as they exercise.
ARTHRITIS EXERCISE

This program uses gentle activities to help increase joint flexibility and range-of-motion. All exercises can be modified to meet your specific needs.
This is a great class for beginners or those who have not exercised for some time. Class is led by a trained instructor.
