CURRENT EVENTS CRAFTING WITH RECYCLABLES: Volunteer Rina Sant will have ongoing, fun craft classes on Fridays, April 4th & 18that 10a.m. Bring your creativity. ANOKA COUNTY CRIBBAGE TOURNAMENT: Friday, April 11th at Coon Rapids Senior Services. Advanced registration and payment are required. Space is limited. Must be an Anoka County Senior Center participant to play in the tournament. Call 763-767-6473 to inquire about openings in this event. WII BOWLING TOURNAMENT VS. HAM LAKE: We will host this event on Tuesday, April 15th at 8:45a.m. Come cheer us on! VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION: Join us on Tuesday, April 22nd at 11a.m. for lively piano music by Nellie Spexet, to honor our dining volunteers! MOVIE OF THE MONTH: “Philomena”-starring Judy Dench as she replays her life before being sent to a convent in 1952. Movie to be shown at 1p.m. on Thursday, April 17th with a snack break at intermission. PROPERTY TAX & RENT CREDIT ASSISTANCE: No appointments taken, this service is a first come, first served event being held on Tuesday, April 29th from 8:30-noon, and is sponsored by your local county commissioners in coordination with Anoka County R.S.V.P. BIRTHDAY PARTY: On Wednesday, April 30th, enjoy entertainment by country artist, Kevin Wegman at 11 am followed by a beef pot roast meal at noon, and prize bingo at 1 pm, sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care. SENIOR SAFETY AND WELLNESS FAIR: Limited to the first 80 registrants, this popular annual event is filling fast and will be held on Thursday, May 1st from 8:30a.m.-3:00p.m. at SBM Fires Station #3, 11920 Ulysses St. N.E., Blaine, MN 55434. Expect great speakers on a variety of safety and wellness topics, a catered luncheon, coffee and refreshments throughout the day and a vendor resource fair. Registration forms are available at the Senior Center.

UPCOMING EVENTS TRAVEL SHOW: Tourco Tours will present a travel show on the July trips

Winnipeg Polar Bear Exhibition and The Pacific Northwest, on Monday, May 5th at 11a.m. at the Senior Center. Please R.S.V.P. your attendance. LADIES LUNCHEON: We have new entertainment by a four piece band called The Banjo Boys, in store for you as we honor the ladies on Thursday, May 8th at 11:00a.m. 80 & OVER PARTY: Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 21st as we enjoy lively music by Joe Nayduciak at 11a.m. and honor those turning 80 or better! ——————————————————————————————————METRO PAINT-A-THON: Free to eligible homeowners in Washington, Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey & Scott Counties.
