Little Rock Central High School & The Little Rock Nine!
In 1957, Little Rock Central High School became an important place in American history. Nine brave African American students, known as the Little Rock Nine, stood up for equal rights by being the first to attend the all-white school. These courageous students faced many challenges, but they showed the world the power of courage, determination, and the fight for fairness. As you color, remember their story and how they helped make schools fair for everyone!

Arkansas is full of beautiful forests, mountains, rivers, and even diamond mines where you can search for real gems! CITY OF LITTLE ROCK CITY SEAL
The seal of Little Rock is a special symbol that represents the city. It’s like a logo that shows what makes Little Rock unique!
In the center, you’ll see a rock, which was found by explorers in 1722, and that’s how the city got its name.
The star above the rock represents that Little Rock is the Capitol of Arkansas.
The Arkansas River behind the rock and the oak leaves on the outside of the seal are to show how pretty the city is.
As you color, imagine all the cool history and nature that the seal represents about Little Rock!

Let’s Fight Litter Together!
Pick It Up! is Little Rock’s citywide initiative to encourage and inspire residents, businesses, and visitors to take an active role in picking up litter, preventing pollution, and building pride in our shared community. Litter affects everyone—it can damage human health, harm local wildlife, clog stormwater drains and pollute our rivers and natural spaces. So when you see trash, don’t talk about it, be a litter hero and PICK IT UP!
