Pop-up Stick & Puck (Ages 1-9 Y)
This program was formerly Parent and Child Stick N’ Puck. We want to continue this program but haven’t found a permanent ice time for the current season. We are reinventing this to a Pop-up format, which means when there is free ice, we will post the place and time on social media at: facebook.com/CityFSJRecreation. The best part of this format is that we will get different times so hopefully more kids and parents will be able to attend within their family’s different schedules. The rules: Skills and drills only, no games/scrimmages. Full equipment required for kids, helmets and gloves required for parents - Children must have a 16+ guardian attend with them. Want to avoid paying? Bring a non-perishable food donation as your admission!
Public Skate
Everyone welcome. Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied on the ice by a guardian of 16 years and older.
Slow Skate
Have a leisurely skate while socializing with others. This session is ideal for young children, beginners, or individuals who simply want to skate at a slower pace.
Fast Skate
This session requires moderate to excellent skating skills. Participants are expected to move at a fast pace with minimal stopping on the ice.
Note: Skate sessions do not have age restrictions and are based on skating ability. Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied on the ice by a guardian 16 years of age or older.
Skate Rentals
Skate rentals are available from Hard Edge Sports, located on the first floor of the Pomeroy Sport Centre.
Please contact Hard Edge Sports directly for hours and rental fees: 250-785-1222 .
