A time for firsts: IJB at the RTF by Francisco Pavao In the beginning of October, CISV Austria hosted an RTF (Regional Training Forum) wherein IJB ran a training for the first time ever. The training was a joint effort of IJB and RDT (Resources Development and Training) and it was a huge success. During the 5 days, the 11 trainees talked about the following topics: chapter health, internal communication, recruitment processes, the CISV international strategic plan and their respective strategic plans, training strategies, global hosting plans, fee structure, and other topics. After these awesome five days, outcome couldn’t have been better. By the end, I felt that I was able to reach my goal of facilitating the growth of local chapters. After this experience. I believe this new training platform can and will be an awesome tool for IJB. In the future, we should learn from it in order to implement similar programs in the best way possible.
IJB team (Development area) in the works written by Cande Lucero & Ana Cueva Content Group:
we're working on next year's content area in close relationship with EDC so if anyone has an idea on how to deal with the content area just write to us; we're working together with the Evaluation Group to analyze our IJB structure and our work as a team; we're looking for ways to support and promote the STSW project and much more you can check out on our JB Pedia page!!
Regions:
This month we were able to arrange a meeting where at least one member of each of the regional teams (APJB, EJB and ARM) was present. This initiative, made by APJB Team, was for us to know each other better, to share our strengths, weaknesses, current projects and also to be actualized on what every region has been doing. This month we had a great time getting to know each other and share some quality fun time together. The topics we discussed were first of where: how each region was doing, which projects had been coming up, how we were all doing as a team and as a region, the new group of NJRs we are all having, IJBC in France and also we talked about the TTT and RTFs, held in Austria a few months back. We were also able to ask things that we thought other teams were good at so we could implement them in our own team; it was really enriching for us as a team members and it helped us a lot. In the meeting we had a great time to express, share and laugh about each of our current situations. We will be having these meetings once every month so if there’s anything you want us to talk about don’t hesitate to tell us so we can bring it up next time.
