#1 ‘’By 2030 CISV International wants to reach twice as many people as today.“ This is the new vision of CISV International that was approved by the members. How should Junior Branch contribute to reach this vision and how could we measure the success? The goal set by the members is huge, but also a huge opportunity for JB to show its enormous power and influence ! I think a big aspect of CISV durability is Junior Branch : we like to describe it as a way of doing CISV all year long, in your city, or in neighboring countries, and with people with similar motivation and stamina! And this is where JB is crucial. By creating local events, keeping the motivation up all year, which will keep people in the chapters, we will get more people involved. By having events with interesting and challenging content, we will get more people attending and wanting more of these (and its already the case!), we will get more people involved. By creating opportunities for leadership roles, and delegating work and responsibilities, we reward hard work and dedication, we give importance to everyone who wants to get involved, we get more people involved. By providing support for those people with responsibilities, we insure that motivation, content, and hard work (ground work) is going strong, we get more people involved. JB is the working core of the CISV force, the pulling force. Measuring the success would be “easy” (in a uplifting way). For example, chapters expanding, when a Junior moves somewhere and creates a wave of motivation for a new chapter, we know we are on the right track. Having multiple LJRs or NJRs, creating a JB Board, or JB Committees also indicates an increase of motivation, and a need for leadership expansion ! And of course the number of attendees at local, neighborhood and european events is a proof that what we are doing is working !
