The core curriculum is a 42-hour block of general education courses that makes up “the basics” of a 2-year degree or the lower-level course work of a baccalaureate degree. Use the core curriculum plan to keep track of your progress towards becoming core complete. A course may only fulfill 1 core requirement. Any public college or university in Texas must accept in transfer the full 42-hours in place of the core curriculum of that college or university for any student who successfully completes the full 42-hours.

SCHOLARSHIP

Cisco College offers the $2,000 Achievement Scholarship to graduating seniors of high schools that are Dual Credit partners with Cisco College.

The purpose of the scholarship is to reward high school graduates for achieving this milestone, and give them an incentive to begin their post-secondary education.

REQUIREMENTS

• The student must be enrolled full-time at Cisco College.

• The student must maintain a 2.0 GPA to Qualify.

• Ask your high school counselor for more information about the scholarship.

DUAL CREDIT

Dual credit allows high school and homeschool students to get college credit while in high school and at a discounted tuition rate. Students can earn credit hours to earn Cisco College core curriculum, earn an associate degree for transfer to a university, or work to earn a certificate in a high-demand technical or health care career field. Dual credit gets the student a head start on a degree and saves students and families significant money in college tuition.
