In just a few years, Unike Hoteller has grown from a dream to a hotel success. The hotel group now consists of 20+ exclusive hotels that are located like pearls on a string from the fjord and mountains at Grand Hotel Skei, over Riddergaarden Mountain Lodge at Beitostølen, down to the deep forests in the east at Rømskog Spa and all the way along the coast in Southern Norway to Utsikten Hotell in Kvinesdal.

Unike Hoteller's head office is located in Sandefjord in Anders Jahre's magnificent villa at Midtåsen, which we took over in 2018. The mansion from 1933 has several rooms intact from Jahre's time, in addition to a 60-acre park.

The secret is to work with the heart and to give that little extra. With role models such as the venerable hotels Savoy and Ritz, we spend a lot of time gathering inspiration. During our many study trips abroad, we collect ideas for how we can make our hotels even more elegant and unique, so that the customer gets the most out of their stay. To be allowed to shape this is absolutely fantastic! My hotel dream has developed and grown, and with me I have a fantastic team that gives everything and works with their hearts.

Unike Hoteller favours a maximalist interior profile rather than a minimalist one. Each room has its own personal touch. All are tastefully decorated with design elements such as velvet, satin and designer wallpaper, among others Ralph Lauren wallpapers and original Kirkevolden wallpapers Norwegian Heritage. Our philosophy is to add a lot of beautiful elements to each room, rather than stripping them down to a streamlined appearance.

A unique taste experience

Our kitchen is based on traditional recipes and uses only the best ingredients. Our taste profile is based on the French gourmet kitchen in combination with Norwegian traditional recipes. Our chefs come from the 5-star Sofitel Luxury Hotel and a 2-star Michelin restaurant in France, the 3-star restaurant Maeemo in Oslo and gourmet restaurants in Denmark. The wines are hand picked and specially adapted to our menus. This all adds up to create an atmosphere we are proud of.

For breakfast you will be greeted by a nice breakfast hostess, and the coffee will be served from silver jugs. We always cover our tables with white cloth. You will find in our buffet a large selection of homemade food.

Anders Jahre's magnificent villa

STATELY BANQUET ROOMS AT THE TOP OF SANDEFJORD

Midtåsen was built in 1934, and was designed by the leading architect of the time; Arnstein Arneberg. The house is located on a hill and is surrounded by a 60-acre park. The magnificent residence is built on an axis towards the Sandefjord fjord. When you enter the main door, your gaze goes all the way out to the open sea. Now this property is open to anyone who wants a special setting for their event.

In the stately Arnebergstuen we can accommodate up to 100 people, and we can also accommodate smaller parties in one of our other rooms. If you want an outdoor event in our flowering, south-facing garden, we can set up tents that can accommodate up to 170 seated guests. The unique atmosphere, together with delicious food and drink, provides an unforgettable experience for both guest and host.

Midtåsen is open all year round and offers courses and conferences with a fantastic location, experiences and culture. Would you like to sleep in one of our historic rooms? Each room has its own unique character. We have five double rooms and two single rooms that we rent out.

In the heart of the Sognefjord

Leikanger Fjordhotel is beautifully located in the heart of the Sognefjord. An excellent base for reaching all the beauty this part of Norway has to offer. At the same time, enjoy the mild climate, which ensures that both peaches, apricots and walnuts thrive here. We, who work in this fantastic hotel from 1920, ensure additional well-being.

Leikanger has traditions as a royal settlement dating back to the Viking Age. Strandavegen is a walk in ancient heroic history, Viking history and cultural history. Strandavegen runs east along the fjord from the stairs at Leikanger Fjord Hotel to Leikanger Church.

In 2021, we expanded the hotel with Sogna Spa, which contains a wellness area with sun loungers, massage chairs, a jacuzzi, a sauna with a view and treatment rooms.

Leikanger Fjordhotel has its own sandy beach, and there are swimming stairs directly from the spa area. We can also tempt you with SUP and kayak rental.

Welcome to Seljord Hotel

A UNIQUE LITTLE PIECE OF TELEMARK

We welcome you to Seljord Hotel, a small and unique hotel with a long and exciting history dating back to 1850. The hotel is located in the middle of Telemark, and is a hub between east and west. Seljord city center has express buses that provide good communication to Oslo, Bergen, Grenland and the international airport Torp.

ACCOMMODATION IN HISTORIC SURROUNDINGS

We have 26 rooms (21 double rooms and 5 newly renovated family rooms), a pleasant restaurant and three meeting rooms. All rooms have their own special name and history. In addition, we have a charming library with a fireplace and a living room.

Seljord hotel is located right by Dyrskuplassen and is the perfect starting point for hiking, cycling, fishing, visiting the Telemark Canal and the World Heritage Site.

Brattrein Hotell is a venerable, intimate hotel located in a rural location, just outside the center of Notodden. The building dates back to 1924. The Rjukan-Notodden industrial heritage has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015, and much of this heritage is located in Hydroparken, which is clearly visible from the hotel.
