Porret’s practice is grounded in sculpture that is figurative in appearance but resolutely abstract in intention. Working primarily in bronze, often combined with stone or marble bases, he constructs forms that suggest the human body while refusing narrative or literal depiction. His career has unfolded internationally, with works held in private and public collections across Europe, Japan, and the United States. Across decades of practice, his focus has remained consistent: pursuing a sense of internal rightness, a precise equilibrium between tension and repose.
