Parents Guardians of students attending Valley View Community School We are encouraging those of you that do not have a landline or any other contact number for your child/children’s school database to please call Shirley Bell-Morin at the school. We would like to make sure that we have an emergency contact person that has a cell phone or landline that we may contact should your child/children have an emergency or situation while they are attending Valley View Community School. This is very important because we cannot take children to the clinic or home unless we have approval from you or your contact person. If you do have a contact person listed, can you please make sure that they are aware that they have this responsibility when you are away or cannot be reached personally. We thank you for assisting us in this matter and for helping to keep our children safe.
U18 Team Saskatchewan The U18 Team Saskatchewan roster has been released. The 20 individuals selected will compete as part of Team Saskatchewan as they compete for gold at the U18 National Women’s Hockey Championship, November 6-10 in Calgary, Alberta. The quest to make Team Saskatchewan started in February where all members tried out for their zone teams; from there the girls made their teams and competed in the SaskFirst Tournament. Out of the 160 players in the tournament, 42 were chosen to attend the Top 42 U18 Summer Camp to which 25 were taken to the Mandi Schwartz Challenge on September 19th -22nd. The members competed in 2 games and 3 practices. The team is looking strong and hoping to compete for a medal at this year’s Under-18 National Championship in Calgary! Congratulations to Mallory Gardiner-Roy for making top 20
