In Loving memory of Tony “Bebelil” Alcrow August 4, 1934 - September 24, 2004 Now that he is gone, I will remember him with smiles and laughter.

And if I needed to cry, I’ll cry with my brother or sister who walk beside me.

And when I need him, I put my arms around anyone and give to them what he would have given to me.

There are so many that need so much.

I know he wanted to leave me something – something much better than words or sounds.

So I look for him in the people I’ve known or helped in some special way.

He’ll live in my heart as well as in my mind.

I will love me most by letting his love reach out to our loved ones, by embracing them and living in their love.

Love does not die, people do.

So, all that’s left of him is love, I’ll give him away as best I can.

It was a good turn out, also a beautiful day and they are so very happy that everyone enjoyed their time fishing even though there was little fish caught.

September 8, 2011 Northern Saskatchewan Environmental Quality Committee Newsletter… submitted by Gene Kimbley The EQC had a busy summer and has a full fall scheduled with uranium industry site tours and activities: - Key Lake site tour on June 27 - a workshop on Cameco’s new Millennium Mine in Saskatchewan on July 21 - McClean Lake site tour on Aug. 17 - Cluff Lake site tour on Aug. 31 which was postponed (after one planed landed) because of weather

socio-economic study of the impact of uranium mining in northern Saskatchewan over the some last 50 years. This important study of being sponsored by the community Vitality Monitoring Partnership Process Committee which was formed after the Joint Uranium Panel Hearings in the 1990’s in order to monitor & promote community vitality. The CVMPP Committee will be looking for additional northern members for this study’s steering committee, so stay tuned for updates.

Upcoming Activities: - Rescheduled Cluff Lake site tour - date unknown - Sept. 15 site tour of Rabbit Lake - Sept. 27-28 tour of Beaver Lodge and Gunnar/Lorado Nov. 15-16 All-EQC meeting in La Ronge - Nov. 24 site tour of McArthur River ( last site tour of the year)

Cameco and AREVA will also be conducting their northern tour activities with our northern communities in Set. And Oct. Although there will be no official EQC activities at these meetings/open houses, community members and EQC representatives are encouraged to attend as this is an excellent way to update yourself on uranium mining issues. Also, it is a good chance to speak with your EQC representative if she/he is able to attend.

EQC site tours are done on a sub-committee basis (West Side, Athabasca or South Central) but there is often some interchange between sub-committees representatives depending on plane seat availability & accommodations if staying overnight.

Unfortunately, the EQC attendance at the upcoming Canadian aboriginal minerals association 2011 Annual Conference in Vancouver had to be cancelled because of government restrictions leading up to provincial election on Nov. 7. Next year, we will be back on track with CAMA attendance.
