WELCOME SHIFT FILM FESTIVAL 2019 SHIFTING BOUNDARIES Boundaries are part of our lives which exist either in symbolic form constraining our thoughts and horizons with pressure, habits and culture or in literal form. Countries and whole continents are not only separated by different beliefs or cultures, but bounded by walls or other kinds of rigid barriers. Freedom does not necessarily mean the crossing or ignoring of boundaries. Sometimes it can mean that these boundaries lose the rigidity and can be shifted helping to come closer together and understand each other and ourselves a bit more. With the motto Shifting Boundaries, the 5th edition of SHIFT Film Festival focuses on film’s power to highlight important current shifts in society, culture and everyday life. Watch feature and short films, listen to CineTalks and Q&As with special guests and invited crew, join special masterclasses and lectures with national and international coaches and meet filmmakers and industry professionals at our networking events. Enlarge your horizon and shift your boundaries!
