CineSud is a film hub for new filmmakers and industry professionals in the heart of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. CineSud offers new and established filmmakers all over the world unique opportunities to further develop and realize their projects: funding schemes, training labs, industry events, writers rooms, forums and much more. Every year several interactive activities are organized where makers of all backgrounds and of all experiences can make their own films or learn more about filmmaking.

SHORTSLAB &DOCLAB

The ShortsLab & Doclab programs are primarily intended for new filmmakers based in the Netherlands and in Flanders (Belgium). New filmmakers, who have no more than three (professional) films to their name, can enter the program and develop their projects regardless of genre or format. Chosen participants follow tailored coaching sessions throughout the year and are guided through every step of production from scriptwriting to distribution. Selected projects receive a contribution from €5.000€15.000 to the budget of the film as well.

REWRITEIT: FEATURE SCRIPTLAB

REwriteIT: Feature ScriptLab is an 11-month development program for screenwriters working on their first or second feature film. Participants work from (mini)treatments towards a first or second version of a complete screenplay. The Lab includes individual coaching sessions and two multiday residencies during international film festivals with Writers Rooms, masterclasses, improvisation sessions with actors, coaching sessions and more.

Shortslab Doclab

DIRECTORS VILLAGE

The Directors Village is a 5-day on-site European residence training program to enhance and develop the skills of new directors-writers and help them prepare their next (short film) project. During group sessions on script development, director’s vision and directing actors, participants work together with coaches and each other to bring their project further.

DUTCHFILM TALENTTO CANNES

Since 2018, CineSud has offered a select group of new makers a beautiful and unique opportunity to participate in many activities within the Marché du Film and SFC | Rendezvous Industry during Festival de Cannes.

Occurring during Festival de Cannes in France, the aim of Dutch Film Talents to Cannes is to allow makers to expand their network during one of the most attended festivals in Europe, follow workshops, and present their films, themselves and their next projects to an international (industry) audience.

PITCHING FORUM

CineSud encourages new filmmakers and industry professionals by offering cofi nancing opportunities. With the Pitching Forum, promising (inter)national filmmaker’s projects get an extra boost. The participants follow a pitch training prior to the Film Pitch, giving them the tools to sell their projects to our organization or to others. Following the pitch, the winning film plan will receive a production budget contribution (average of €2,000) and the possibility of receiving coaching.

EUREGION FILMFORUM

The main goal of the Euregion Film Forum is to highlight the film c and films from the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. The event sets its focus on the filmmaking climate across these borders with inter-cultural conferences and many relevant networking opportunities for professionals of the industry to share their experiences with each other. It features the Euregion Short Film Competition as well as other special screenings.

SHIFTFILM FORUM

SHIFT Film Forum offers a dynamic festival experience, with films from BeNeLux and Germany. Heavily centered around talent development, it provides inspiring workshops, training and talks and invites upcoming talents to shift their point of views, develop their works, interact with the audience and create new projects. The event includes the SHIFT Short Film Competition, special screenings, meet & greets and many other activities.

CINE MAKERS

CineMakers is a non-profi t video-ondemand platform in partnership with various parties in the film field. Through CineMakers, filmmakers can meet each other, watch each other’s short films and learn and gain inspiration through live events, masterclasses and CineTalks. The platform showcases hundreds of short films from home and abroad, proposes new titles monthly and offers industry events and online festival experiences.
