This Green Sure Start Centre, taken in by the trees, aims to create equal opportunities for the people living in the SW 6 area of Peterlee. The centre acts as a community anchor in the area, providing allotment spaces and hosting seasonal farmer’s markets in order to help promote healthy living.

In addition to the community aspect of the centre, the parents of SW area 6 no longer have to worry about searching for someone to look after their child. Fonkeng Sure Start Centre ensures that their child will be taken care of safely whilst helping to develop their key skills in their early stages of development through the years 0-5.
