A group of sheep is known as a herd, flock or mob. Young sheep are called lambs. Birthing is called lambing. Ewes usually give birth to 1 to 3 lambs Ewes have their largest litters of lambs when they are between the ages of 3 and 6. Some sheep are raised for meat and others for their wool. Wethers make good pets and wool animals. Like humans their faces all look different in some way
