earable electronic devices, such as fitness trackers and smart watches, are growing in popularity and one local company is trying to capitalize on that burgeoning market. Strap has developed software that companies can use in their applications to track and analyze that data from those wearable devices. Strap also allows companies to trigger marketing automations based on data from wearables.

The software enables businesses to let consumers opt in and share the data from their wearables, usually in exchange for a coupon or avings. “Our studies show that

people are willing to opt in to provide that data if the incentive or reward is good enough,” says Caldwell. “We think it’s a powerful future out there for how this data can be used to make better experiences.” n
