As an educated marketer I understand the science of human behaviour and unique digital marketing messaging to connect products and services to ideal audiences. A lot of recruiting is parallel to marketing. The theory in both is to align values and people to branding, trust, and commitment.

Maintaining my connections to candidates is accomplished with deep communication strategies using LinkedIn and specific metrics in social platforms that engage and maintain trust in my industry.

In addition, I have deep ties to the advertising world and engaging in those relationships keeps my networking skills and digital marketing knowledge in the forefront of all my goals and how I align to new candidates and means of finding them for my clients.

DISCOVERY Each role has specifics about the role expectations and the key work history or skills that the right candidates possess. At this stage of the process we will dive into the needs with Heavy.

SEARCH We start the search into a network of contacts connected to the position and the industry. This will involve a detailed search of others that have been interviewed in the past, those that are in our network and actively searching and those who are actively working in similar roles with industry competitors.

This process will also include detailed searches of candidate profiles and resumes.

ADVERTISING Depending on the specifics of the role and the pool of talent to draw from for each of the positions, there will be some advertising required. This will be done on various job search platforms and at the expense of Courtney Lee Consulting.

THE PROCESS

CANDIDATE SCREENING This crucial part of the process is when we dive into the details in their history and who they are.

1. Their loyalty and commitment to past employment 2. Projects examples and relatable work 3. Age and lifestyle influencers 4. Location and logistics as it pertains to their opportunities 5. Are they actively working for competitors.

INTERVIEWS All candidates are interviewed over the phone and then have 1-2 subsequent detailed interviews. At this stage, we are assessing qualities such as: 1. Their work history and fact-checking past work experience 2. Their goals and how they translate to your culture and needs 3. Where do they see career growth and what is their indicator of milestones and achievements.

4. What are their key motivators and how do they rank? Money, environment, life balance, creative freedom, location, etc.

5. A clear understanding of how they operate on a team, under direction and on their own and what their ideal management style is 6. Get a solid understanding of their communication/management style

THE PROCESS

CONSULT WITH YOU This stage is a detailed consultation on the details of each of the candidate(s) that are being selected for the final interview. The method of communication is very flexible to suit your teams environment or other structures. This first outline will be written for you to review and assess.

Next, we will discuss key experiences and preliminary findings on the candidate(s) being forwarded. If required, we can also set you up with the questions that should be reviewed for each role.

COMMUNICATION DETAILS The first step in candidate evaluation with be with the internal hiring team. I will send all my candidates over through email to the appropriate team. Once the initial information has be translated over, this is an example of an ideal communication instruction with you. All of these steps can be configured to suit your ideal communication methods.

A detailed outline of my conversation and meeting with the candidate(s) to set both parties up for success. Included is an excerpt from their LinkedIn with a picture and their resume attached. You will also be given details and finding acquired in the interview process.

Transparency is key in capitalizing on the time and efforts of all involved in the interviewing process. My goal is to have both parties prepared and confident in whom they are meeting with and do not have outstanding questions or confusion.

All methods of preparation and communication with you is 100% customizable to suit the needs of your team hiring.

SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEWS Leading up to the first interviews, we will make sure you and the candidate(s) are set up for success by: Ensuring candidates understand the interview process, set expectations of how many, how long what is required prior to the interview and if they have homework to bring in preparation for their interview.

Candidates will also receive a detailed outline of who they will be meeting with, title, and their backgrounds.
