"What makes a doctor?" Is it intelligence? Genius? A library of illnesses and symptoms kept inside their minds? All of these

are

right,

but

one

aspect

of

a

doctor

that

many

medical students continue to ignore is Professionalism. It is often

glossed

over—put

in

the

backburner

in

favour

of

cultivating academics. Therefore, we, CDO 1, decided to take action and highlight the importance of professionalism within the medical field.

On Sunday, 26 September 2021, CDO 1 organised a virtual talk show that was made open for the public and medical students at no cost. The event was named "HOMAGER ; ETERNA",

which

is

short

for

"How

to

Become

a

Good

Health Professional" and is simultaneously a Spanish word defined

as

represents

'devotee' the

and

specific

'worshipper'; qualities

while

present

ETERNA

in

medical

workers, these include: attention, accountability, attitude, appearance, action and ability.

Doctors are often revered due to their contribution to the public and the extremely difficult set of skills one has to possess in order to be certified and acknowledged. With this notable status comes a boost of ego that places doctors in

a

position

of

arrogance,

which

creates

a

significant

distance in a doctor and their patients' relationship. Due to this

distance,

patients

would

then

feel

reluctant

about

consulting their doctors, putting their health at greater risk. Not

only

a

doctor

and

their

patients

but

adopting

a

professional attitude with colleagues is equally important not only for the doctors themselves but also the patient; effective

communication

between

medical

professionals

naturally leads to effective communication with the patient.

HOMAGER ; ETERNA.

For

the

invited their

three

stories

accomplished with

us:

Dr.

medical Neneng

Suryadinata, M.Psi.T.; dr. Wilson Matthew Raffaello; and dr. Olivia Jeany Darmawan Adji Saroso. We invited these three professionals, knowing that their experiences and knowledge regarding the significance of professionalism would serve as valuable information, especially since they have experienced being in the medical field themselves. Throughout the show, the speakers put emphasis on the importance of the 6 values that a healthcare professional should have, also known as the 6 values of ETERNA.

In short, HOMAGER:ETERNA aims to shed light on a common problem in the medical field people often ignore in spite of its importance, which is the implementation of professionalism in a medical worker's daily life. Hopefully, this event succeeded in its goal and cultivates a generation of high quality healthcare professionals.

Through the enthusiasm of the participants, we know that this event has been held successfully and we do hope that through

this,

people

could

have

a

regarding Gastroesophageal Reflux disease in details, how could It happen and what could be done to prevent it as well as spreading awareness about it to others as well.

CIMSA DAY OUT 2 conducted a webinar named SWAGER on 25th of September, 2021. This event brought a topic about gastroesophageal

reflux

disease

(GERD).

This

event

itself

aims to educate our audience to understand more about the cause

and

recognize

treatments

to

overcome

GERD.

In

addition, the audience was able to receive information that would broaden their awareness along with having the ability to educate others.

The event consists of several agenda. The first one is preevent where the audiences could receive door prizes worth of e-money. The pre-event itself consist of interactive games such

After that, the participants had a question and answered session with dr. Theo. The participants seems to be very active in asking question regarding the topic brought, thus making the event more meaningful and informative. Last but not least, a certificate of appreciation was given to the speaker.

To find prospective members of CIMSA UPH, CIMSA UPH held an open recruitment for UPH Faculty of Medicine’s students who are interested in joining the CIMSA UPH organization. As the beginning of the selection process for candidates of CIMSA UPH members, CIMSA UPH held an event named CIMSA DAY OUT. We as CIMSA DAY OUT 3 (CDO 3) are trusted to hold an event, namely a webinar with the title RAGE "Rising Against Gender Violence"

RAGE was held on September 25, 2021. This webinar raised issues related to gender-based violence which is very prevalent at this time, especially cases of sexual violence which are very prone

to

occur.

In

this

webinar,

we

invite

people

who

are

experts in this field, dr. Darien Alfa Cipta, Sp. KJ and Khalisha Cantara Ramadhany. There are two main sessions in this event. The first session was accompanied by dr. Darien, in this session we discussed the meaning

Then, the next session was continued by Khalisha who discussed gender differences with sex, gender inequality, sexism ideology, patriarchy, rape culture, and our efforts to help the victims. In addition, there is also a We Hear You

session,

where

participants

share

their

stories or experiences about cases of gender violence that they have experienced or witnessed in their environment.

This webinar was attended by participants who were very enthusiastic about the topic brought. This can be seen during the Q&A session where the participants actively asked

Through this, we hope that the participants could have more insight regarding gender based violence as well as raising awareness about it in order to reduce the number of cases about gender based violence.

On September 26, 2021, CIMSA Day Out 4 held a virtual event called 'Mentally Healthy During a Pandemic? Why not?' also known as MHAC. This webinar event is an activity that aims to educate the public about the relationship between mental health and the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this

event

visiting

a

was

people

Furthermore,

of the

the

importance

participants

of

were

expected to realize that professional help is needed, not only for people facing severe mental health.

This MHAC event reached 150 participants; 75 from UPH and the rest from other institutions. Furthermore, the committee promoted the event through social media, such as uploading posters on Instagram Stories and Instagram Feed. The event was also broadcasted through large groups on the platform 'LINE', as well as close relatives. Participants registered via the form link provided and entered the participant group on WhatsApp.

MHAC ; 'Mentally Healthy during a Pandemic? Why not?’

The project officer opened the event and continued with a pre-test required for all the participants. This was followed by a talk show session brought by the main speaker from Siloam

Hospital,

namely

dr.

Waskita

Roan,

Sp.KJ,

and

assisted by the moderator, dr. Riola Tanri Devi. The speaker acknowledges the participants by discussing the character of mental issues in humans life, the method to handle them, and the prevention of mental health disorders. The session was followed by the question and answer session, where the speakers

answered

the

participants'

questions

from

the

platform's available chat column. The question and answer session exceeded expectations as the participants became more

active

in

asking

questions,

which

led

to

many

questions not being answered due to limited time. Then, the event continued with the handing over of certificates to dr. Waskita Roan, Sp.KJ, and dr. Riola Tanri Devi. After that, participants were required to do a post-test and a game of Kahoot.

To summarize, according to the number of participants and the

feedback,

this

event

was

considered

a

success.

By

holding the event 'Mentally Healthy During the Pandemic? Why

not?',

the

participants

were

enriched

with

the

knowledge and education about the relationship between mental health and the current COVID-19 pandemic.
