First of all, I would like to thank Allah SWT for giving us blessings, health, and opportunity so that AIRCIMS 8th edition can be published. I would also like to express my gratitude and appreciation to our beloved media and communication team for the hard work and all members who contributed to this magazine. Center for Indonesian Medical Student’s Activities (CIMSA) is a non-profit, non-government, non-politic, independent, inclusive, and nationalist organization with activity-based programs. CIMSA consists of six standing committees focusing on issues related to medical education, reproductive health and rights including HIV/AIDS, human rights and peace, public health, research exchange, and professional exchange. CIMSA was established on May 6th, 2001.

By now, CIMSA has more than 10.000 active members across 27 universities in Indonesia.CIMSA UNAIR as one of the founding fathers of CIMSA always strives to maintain the quality of its activities to give great impacts in order to empower medical students and improve the nation’s health. During the pandemic, CIMSA UNAIR adapts to the current situation by implementing various online activities including our special webinar series called FEVER (Flattening the Curve through Online Conversation) with insightful topics and amazing speakers. AIRCIMS will show you a deeper introduction of CIMSA UNAIR. It shows the dedications and hard works of all members in this tenure through CIMSA UNAIR’s activities and achievements on a local, regional, national, and international scale. Our several activities including CAPTOPRIL, BACILLUS, ENCOURAGE have been chosen to be presented at international events. Hopefully, AIRCIMS can inspire readers to participate in empowering medical students and improving nation’s health. #BeActivewithCIMSA

Flattening the Curve through Online Conversations

Melihat kondisi Indonesia yang sangat terpengaruh oleh adanya pandemi COVID-19, pada bulan Juli 2020 CIMSA Universitas Airlangga membuat sebuah inovasi baru berupa aktivitas FEVER. FEVER (Flattening the Curve through Online Conversations) th sendiri adalah sebuah webinar yang membahas tentang topik-topik yang berkaitan dengan pandemi COVID-19.

Hal yang membuat FEVER berbeda dari webinar yang lain adalah FEVER selalu melibatkan alumni CIMSA UNAIR yang merupakan pakar dari topik yang akan dibahas. Misalnya, ketika membicarakan tentang Epidemiologi COVID-19, CIMSA UNAIR mengundang Kak Bayu Satria, MPH, salah satu alumni yang juga merupakan ahli epidemiologi. Begitu juga ketika membicarakan kasus aritmia pada pasien COVID-19, kami mengundang dr. Revi Adheriyani, Sp.JP, FIHA, alumni CIMSA UNAIR yang merupakan seorang dokter spesialis jantung dan pembuluh darah. Tak hanya itu, FEVER juga beberapa kali menjalin kerjasama dengan melibatkan alumni pada project-project SCO yang ada di CIMSA UNAIR. Misalnya, ketika membicarakan tentang kondisi pendidikan SLB di masa pandemi bersama SCORP CIMSA UNAIR dan juga ketika membahas regulasi perjalanan ke internasional selama pandemi bersama SCOPE CIMSA UNAIR.

Tidak terasa, sudah hampir setahun FEVER berbagi ilmu dan pengetahuan yang berkaitan dengan pandemi COVID-19 kepada masyarakat. Dengan harapan kondisi negara kita sudah semakin membaik dan webinar tentang COVID-19 sudah tidak menjadi urgensi lagi bagi masyarakat, mungkin di kepengurusan selanjutnya kita tidak akan bertemu lagi dengan webinar FEVER. Namun, CIMSA UNAIR tetap berharap wawasan yang sudah diberikan melalui webinar-webinar FEVER dapat tetap bermanfaat bagi masyarakat luas ke depannya.

Standing Committee on Medical Education

SCORA (Standing Committee on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV & AIDS) merupakan salah satu standing committee yang ada di CIMSA UNAIR. SCORA bergerak di lima ranah kerja yaitu comprehensive sexuality education; HIV, AIDS & other STIs; gender based violence; sexual and gender identity; dan maternal health. Kegiatan SCORA CIMSA UNAIR selama periode 2020-2021 terdapat 5 project (ULTRASOUND/Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SGTS/SCORA Goes to School, REASON/World AIDS Day, IWD/ International Women’s Day, WMMHD/ Inte World Maternal Mental Health Day), 1 community development (SPEARS/School Peer Educator Recruits), acara bonding seperti SCOBINAL/SCORA Bincang Asik, Enak, dan Tahan Lama, serta training yaitu LPET/Local Peer Educator Training. SCORA CIMSA UNAIR diketuai oleh seorang Local Officer on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV & AIDS (LORA) dan didampingi oleh 8 orang pengurus SCORA yang disebut

sebagai Local Committee on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV & AIDS (LCORA). REASON (Responding to HIV and AIDS with Love and Understanding) REASON (Responding to HIV and AIDS with Love and Understanding) adalah project SCORA CIMSA UNAIR untuk merayakan World AIDS Day 2020. Acara ini diadakan selama 3 hari, yaitu pada 30 November, 12 dan 13 Desember 2020. Pada tanggal 30 November 2020, REASON menyelenggarakan air campaign dengan berkolaborasi bersama Suara Surabaya 100FM dan Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kulit Kelamin (PERDOSKI) Surabaya. Kemudian, pada tanggal 12 dan 13 Desember 2020, REASON mengadakan lomba cerdas cermat seputar HIV, AIDS, dan PMS lainnya yang bernama TELESCOPIA. Acara ini diadakan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan memotivasi mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran

SPEARS (School Peer Educator Recruits) SPEARS atau School Peer Educator Recruits merupakan community development/comdev inisiasi dari SCORA CIMSA UNAIR pada periode 2020-2021. SPEARS bertujuan untuk memberikan comprehensive sexuality education keapda pelajar SMA dan membentuk mereka menjadi peer educators di bidang me kesehatan reproduksi. Dalam pelaksanaannya, SCORA CIMSA UNAIR bekerja sama dengan 8 SMA di Surabaya. Pemateri dari SPEARS adalah member SCORA CIMSA UNAIR yang telah mengikuti Local Peer Educator Training/LPET serta narasumber istimewa dari berbagai external partners menyesuaikan dengan materi yang dibawakan.

Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace

SCORP stands for Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace, advocate human rights in many aspects including refugees’ rights, disaster management, gender equality, and climate change. SCORP also focuses on protecting rights and improving the health of vulnerable people in hopes to create a more inclusive society. And to help improves nation health, one of our main focuses also include the rights to health especially regarding Universal Health Coverage. This year, SCORP has conducted several activities to actualize our main focuses such as INHALE, ANEMONE, and MORTALITIE. INHALE (Intervention to children with special needs) During the COVID-19 Pandemic, all school has been held online. All educational levels, including primary, middle, and high school also university, have difficulties in conducting the learning process. But how about schools that rely

on interactive learning between student and teacher? Such as school for children with special needs. In one of our project INHALE, we discuss how does the school handle this situation. ANEMONE (Ableism in Human Rights Context) To celebrate Human Rights Day 2020, SCORP CIMSA UNAIR held ANEMONE. Discrimination against people with disabilities is something that is still common. It could be seen from how reduced the numbers of employees that have disabilities in companies. Therefore through this project, we want to raise th awareness regarding this matter and motivate those who are affected directly. MORTALITIE (Movie Review and Talkshow About Toxic Relationships) MORTALITIE is a project in collaboration with SCORA CIMSA UNAIR in celebrating International Women's Day. In extreme cases, a relationship could develop into an abusive one. Usually, the victim who

receives the treatment are women. We want to encourage anyone who is in relationships especially women to stand up for themselves and reach out for help.

SCOPH

Standing Committee on Public Health

SCOPH stands for Standing Committee on Public Health. SCOPH as the name implies, we are engaged in public health with five working fields, the first is Health Promotion, Social and Environmental Determinant of Health, Universal Health Coverage, Health in all Policies, as well as Global Health, International Health and Public Health. The purpose of SCOPH is to make preventive efforts to the community in the surrounding environment through educating, raising awareness and training on matters related to communicable and non-communicable diseases. In seeing a health condition, we also make preventive efforts through its surroundings, such as ef the environment, economy, and health pollicies.

Each year SCOPH has six main campaigns, namely National Nutrition Day, World Tuberculosis Day, National Children's Day, World Mental Health Day, World Diabetes Day, and World No Tobacco Day. SCOPH CIMSA Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) this year carried out 3 campaigns, namely 1. GULALI (Gerakan Penanggulangan Diabetes Melitus) In commemoration of World Diabetes Day (WDD) which is commemorated every November 14, SCOPH CIMSA Universitas Airlangga held a community development with the aim of being a preventive effort against diabetes mellitus together with the manukan kulon youth organization. The intervention was carried out three times in collaboration with PERSADIA (Indonesian Diabetes Association) through the provision of materials and talk shows with Diabeticion

2. RETARDATION (Prevent and Eradicate Nutritional Disorder with SCOPH UNAIR) In commemoration of National Nutrition Day (Hari Gizi Nasional / HGN), which is commemorated every January 25. This activity is carried out to increase the knowledge and awareness of the general public regarding nutritional problems that consist of obesity and stunting. This event consists of three series of events, namely the Cooking Challenge, a Talkshow with Foodbank of Indonesia discussing Obesity and Foodwaste and a Webinar on Stunting in collaboration with the Children's Department of Dr. Soetomo Hospital and the Surabaya City Health Office. 3. COUGH (Cease Tuberculosis by Community Engangement with SCOPH) In commemoration of world tuberculosis day on March 24, SCOPH CIMSA UNAIR held a series of COUGH (Cease Tuberculosis by Community Engangement with SCOPH). Our program consists of three series of events, First is a talk show with a TB survivor, namely Rachmat from the PETA organization via Live Instagram. Second event is, COUGH Go To School on Saturday 10th of March, we held socialization to high schools in the city of Surabaya until Medan regarding tuberculosis. In the program, we first held gymnastics and continued with focus group discussions. 36 students participated in this event actively and happily. The last event was the COUGH Webinar: Overcoming tuberculosis in Pandemic time Challenge and management. The webinar was filled by Ms. Siva, a young health activist from the IMUT organization. Through this webinar, we discuss about tuberculosis condition in pandemic time and government program that help to tackle tuberculosis.

Standing Committee on Medical Education

October Meeting 2020 CIMSA Indonesia memiliki tiga pertemuan rutin dilaksanakan setiap tahunnya, salah satunya adalah October Meeting yang kali ini dilaksanakan secara Virtual pada tanggal 9-11 Oktober & 16-18 Oktober 2020. Dengan mengangkat tema “Amplifying CIMSA’s Impact through Annual Mission Statement to Achieve the SDGs 2030 Agenda”, delegasi yang berkesempatan hadir dalam meeting tersebut diharapkan dapat berupaya untuk menyinergikan seluruh pergerakannya dengan harapan dapat menghasilkan aktivitas yang berdampak serta berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan Kesehatan Indonesia. Lebih meningka dari 700 delegates yang berasal dari berbagai daerah maupun lokal hadir dan ikut menyemarakkan dalam pertemuan ini. Dalam pertemuan ini, terdapat 11 rangkaian acara yang selalu ditunggu-tunggu oleh seluruh delegates. Namun, terdapat beberapa agenda yang pastinya menarik seperti Grand lecture yang menghadirkan

pembicara ternama yaitu Melati Wijsen (Founder of Bye Bye Plastic Bags and Youthtopia), Margianta Surahman (Founder of Emancipate Indonesia and One Young World Ambassador) yang membahas tentang Youth Engagement on Tackling Issues on SDGs, lalu General Issue Update yang membahas tentang Digital Litercay, Telemedicine and COVID-19, kemudian Small Class dimana dalam forum tersebut berdiskusi mengenai topik-topik yang berkaitan dengan SDGs sesuai focus CIMSA. Dan yang tentu tidak kalah menariknya adalah Community Development Session yang dimana Comdev CIMSA UNAIR berhasil menjadi Participant Comdev Corner OM 2020 dan Best Activity SCORE OM 2020 yaitu LEOPARD dari SCORE CIMSA UNAIR.

CIMSA Indonesia memiliki tiga pertemuan rutin dilaksanakan setiap tahunnya, salah satunya adalah National Leadership Summit yang kali ini dilaksanakan secara Virtual pada tanggal 18-21 Februari 2021. Dengan mengangkat tema “Enhancing Medical Students’ Capacity as An Actor and An Advocate for the 2030 SDG’s Agenda Through Annual Mission Statement and Policy Documents”, delegasi yang berkesempatan hadir dalam meeting tersebut diharapkan dapat mengembangkan karakter, kemampuan, serta wawasan yang lebih luas untuk mempersiapkan pergerakan CIMSA Indonesia dalam menangani isu-isu tersebut. Lebih dari 750 delegates yang berasal dari berbagai daerah maupun lokal hadir dan meramaikan dalam kegiatan ini.

Kemudian, terdapat satu agenda yang sangat menarik yaitu Activity Fair yang dimana aktivitas CIMSA UNAIR berhasil menjadi 3rd Winner Best Event, Campaign, Celebration of Activites Fair NLS 2021 yaitu Celebra REASON dari SCORA CIMSA UNAIR.
