The guide kicks off with MUTA’s president Jon Parr providing an update on how the temporary structure market has evolved in recent years, along with what organisers should be aware of when securing temporary infrastructure for their event. This leads on to a piece from Alastair Soane, director of Structural Safety, who explains some of the common questions organisers have relating to temporary demountable structures.

The whole installation process was carried out in 3 days, with hand over being smooth and ahead of schedule, allowing the production team to dress the inside of the structures.

Inflatable structures are innovative and contemporary in design, making them a focal point at any event. This combined with the large space they provide with no beams or truss required, means that structures can be installed quickly and easily, leaving the maximum amount of floor space for use. Due to fast install and derig times, crew and venue costs are kept to a minimum. Transport costs are also considerably lower as structures are compact and a lot lighter than marquees and other structures of a similar size.
