SALON HOSPITALITY
Essential 5 Five ways to ensure your offer great hospitality for salon clients as told by Yulia Rorstorm, CEO at Duck & Dry.
A warm and welcoming environment When clients go to a hair salon, they are looking for a relaxing visit, focused on themselves. At Duck & Dry, we operate in a very friendly, casual yet professional manner to ensure that our clients feel at home. Our front of house team are trained to make sure every client has a memorable experience by making sure they are looked after from when they enter the salon until they exit.
The ‘flow’ of the salon
When designing the salon interiors, it is crucial to ensure that all areas of the salon are well laid out and reflect the customer journey. For example; each of our styling pods are at a distance, so each individual client gets their ‘me time’ with their dedicated stylist. We also have beautiful group table areas in each salon, which are popular for a gir’ls night out or morning meetings. The entire flow of the appointment needs to be kept in mind, from entering the salon, to wash basins and styling stations.
Setting the right ambience
At Duck & Dry, we adapt to the mood of our clients! We have various Spotify playlists to suit each day or the vibe we want to set. We often use more chilled out music for the day time and Sundays, whereas for nights and weekends, clients will get to hear more upbeat tunes to set the mood for the party!
Make it social
Main features that makes our salons stand out from the crowd are the prosecco bars and beautiful group tables which can be accessed without any extra cost involved. Whether you want to come in with just one friend or more, we love hosting get-togethers and parties of all scales. To keep the Duck & Dry experience exciting, we collaborate with brands to do bar takeovers which is always a big hit among our clients! Some renowned names include Mahiki, Sipsmith, Koko Kanu, Martin Millers, Pale Fox and more.
Adapt to the location
Keeping the original feel of the location when designing a salon is important. Even though our overall look and style is incredibly on-brand, we also try to maintain but adapt the original features of the site we are in. For instance, we retained the exposed brick walls at the Mayfair branch just to be in tune with the general vibe of the area. We feel that it really adds to the individual location experience and the audience we cater to. @duckanddry
