The Sky Bar

The Sky Bar TGI Friday’s, PizzaExpress, Nando’s and Gourmet Burger Kitchen but it also features a wide variety of unique concepts that have been created especially for the project. To develop, design and execute these new bars and restaurants, Genting worked with Design at Source, a leading specialist in the leisure, retail and hospitality sector.

High Line

One of the key destinations is High Line New York Bar & Lounge, inspired by the High Line – the former elevated railway turned into a narrow public park along the west side of Manhattan. Influenced by the US Prohibition era, the bar was designed to bring a taste of New York City to Birmingham and serves a range of champagnes and spirits with a particularly strong selection of American whiskeys. The cocktails have a New York influence, with plenty of twisted classics through to

High Line drinks such as a Chelsea Girl, made with Absolut raspberry vodka, Chambord, lemon juice, cucumber and strawberries topped with Bottega Rosé prosecco. The food is also inspired by New York, with contemporary twists on old American classics such as the Nolita beef and ‘Njuja 10 sausage meatballs with marinara sauce and the New York El Sliders with smoked bacon chutney and fries. For the aspirational concept, Design at Source created an Art Deco style with a contemporary twist. Internally illuminated columns create an eye-catching screen that attracts passers-by to the bar as well as shielding guests from the bustling mall area.
