fter a bleak winter and a snow-hit March, Britain’s bars are looking forward to sunnier times ahead. This year it feels like more seasonal pop-ups and outside terraces are being launched than ever before, with operators seizing any bit of space to turn into a summertime destination. In this issue, we look at some of the cocktails on menus for this spring and summer, providing ideas for tapping into the thirst for refreshing and exciting mixed drinks. We also look at ideas for bars hoping to make the most of sporting opportunities this summer, from Wimbledon to the World Cup. And if sport isn’t the thing for your bar, don’t forget it’s World Gin Day on June 9 – everybody still loves that gin!
