ABB conducted a comprehensive Power Systems Study to model the entire electrical network and assess its condition. The study included a oneline diagram, short-circuit and coordination analyses, and an arc-flash assessment to identify risks and optimise system performance.

Over the next three years, ABB will perform infrared thermography inspections on more than 27,000 electrical assets across 111 hotels.

The advanced thermal imaging surveys will identify potential faults before they lead to unplanned downtime, helping to improve operational reliability while supporting energy efficiency and safety goals. Selected ABB assets will also receive life cycle assessments to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for future modernization.

The results will provide the customer with actionable insights to manage assets more effectively. The initiative forms part of a long-term partnership aimed at ensuring dependable, efficient power systems across the group’s global hotel portfolio.

A leading data center operator partnered with ABB’s Electrification Service experts to safeguard the performance and reliability at one of its facilities in Dublin. With a strict SLA requiring near-continuous uptime, the customer sought to proactively identify potential electrical risks and ensure safe, efficient operations.

ABB conducted a detailed condition monitoring study using advanced ultrasound inspections on 99 switchgear assets. This non-intrusive approach detects issues such as insulation degradation, loose connections, and partial discharges, allowing the customer to prevent faults without shutting down operations.
