I Know Who I Am

Most people start telling their story of their past, but I would like to start with this present moment! This moment is unbelievable life changing, however expected!

I had a vision 14 years ago to do the things I am doing now. This is a great feeling to say something and then it come to past. There is still a lot of working on me that needs to be done but for the most part, at the age of 36, I have never been this happy in my adult life. I think most of the joy is coming from really understanding who I am and what I want out of life! Having a clear vision and understanding that GOD gave me the vision creates an unstoppable spirt within me.

I was not always this way. I remember being in a space of crying, not being able to answer the question when someone asks “What’s wrong with you?” I’m like you tell me! Somebody tell me please. Yikes! Looking back that was a scary place. NOT KNOWING is a scary place. There was one thing inside of me that I believe that caused me to come into my own and that was pure determination!

I was determined to beat the odds of a two-time teenage mother. With that determination I believe the answers came to me. The answer of Staying connected to the most high and being in business. And if you do not get anything else out of this article, I want you to KNOW THAT THE ANSWERS ARE COMING! The pieces to the puzzles are there we must recognize them.

One of the reasons I believe I was in a space of not knowing was because I did not know who I was. We learned a lot of stuff in school except for how to be a healthy you. Or how to control our emotions. And I get it, everyone was raised differently. I am for the people who may not know how to get out of a sunken place. They may be feeling as if they are the only one that is in their situation.

The game changed for me when I realized that I wasn’t alone. I read a book that completely changed my life! Actually, now, I’ve read several books that left a transformational impact! This is the reason I am so big on people sharing their stories in the format of a book! It could mean life for a person to rejuvenate their whole circumstance!

PRESCRIPTION FOR EXCELLENCE With Dr. James J. Williams

Using Your Voice As An Audiobook Narrator In the last edition, I mentioned that I launched a promotional video debuting a forthcoming documentary project. At the end of the article, I provided a promotional video for your viewing. The response and feedback were so impactful that I thought I would continue the theme of using your voice, but in this issue—we will talk about becoming a narrator for audiobooks.

The best audiobook narration work involves more than simply reading words off a page and having a great voice. The narrator’s performance in an audiobook can make or break the listener’s narrative experience.

Before you record an audiobook for the first time, consider beefing up on the following skills: 1.

Acting: Strong voice-acting skills are the cornerstone of recording audiobooks professionally. Audiobook narrators must narrate the action and perform dialogue in different character voices.

They may have to learn region-appropriate dialects, invent vocal mannerisms, and use various performance techniques to fully embody each character’s role and match the changing emotion of the story.

Breath control: Improper breathing during an audiobook recording can sound unnatural and be distracting to the listener.

A good narrator knows how to breathe into a microphone without interfering with the flow of a text. As a book narrator, breath control can also help give you a softer, more pleasant voice. Try different breathing techniques to help control your breath and create a seamless listening experience.

Excellent reading skills: Audiobook narrators must keep up with the flow of a text, making it sound smooth, natural, and accurate.

Proper pronunciation of obscure words, country names, and foreign terms is imperative. Whether you’re auditioning for a job or already won the role, you should always read through a text and research any unfamiliar words to set yourself up for the best performance come recording time. Learn how to audition for voice-acting jobs.

Vocal stamina: Recording an audiobook requires long hours of uninterrupted talking with few breaks (especially if you use a professional recording studio that charges by the hour). Take proper care of your voice by drinking tea and honey, doing warmups, and avoiding vocal strain to help keep your vocal cords strong and increase vocal stamina for long audiobook-recording sessions.

How to Become an Audiobook Narrator Whether you’re looking to expand your range in voiceover work or trying to land your first audiobook recording job, there are many different steps to take on your way to becoming a professional audiobook narrator. Note that few narration jobs in the audiobook industry are full-time, with part-time freelancing making up most of these positions. Here are some steps to consider on your path to becoming a professional narrator for audiobooks: 1.

Do pro-bono projects for practice. Offering to lend your voice to a few pro-bono projects—like student films or podcasts—can help you gain experience and exposure as an audiobook narrator. (You might need to do this to get enough material to make a vocal demo, which can help you land freelancing gigs.) Volunteering your services as a narrator can be a valuable learning experience, helping hone and refine your talent.

Living Life Inspired is truly living a life of Significance! It is a mindful way of thinking about how you view the world and never make it about you or what you can acquire. Instead, make the world about serving others and touching their lives in such a way for them to be successful so that they may rise to do the same. Significant living inspires Success! Something as simple as a smile can change the entire narrative of someone’s life. Here are few things to consider when connecting with others: 1. Know their triggers, words, actions, and body language. You can’t control what others do or say, but you can control your response, which ordinarily will change their perspective.

2. Think before you speak or act and always season your speech with Grace and consider what impact your words or actions may have.

3. Check your own behavior. What do you do to contribute to civility or incivility?

When you begin to walk in another person’s shoes this can show you the context for his or her words or actions and help you understand what triggered them. When rumors or gossip come your way, don’t get caught up in the madness. Instead, resist looking for someone to blame and remember that in many cases, a problem reflects a systemic shortcoming, not an individual. When you inspire success through significance, the blessing will come back to you.

We have at our fingertips the ability to inspire, empower and instill encouragement of dignity, happiness, and hope by collaborating and pulling together strengths that will empower others to achieve further goals to become the best successful versions of themselves. This process enables transformation in our communities and our country.

Our society today requires servant leaders who are willing to connect globally and contribute to the reality of decision making on all levels including business, environment, education, culture, and government.

A decision is a thought about something. A choice is the action taken behind the decision. So, it is important to choose your thoughts wisely.

Live – Lead – Legacy; that’s the motto!

The bottom line is this…bringing awareness of the Spirit of Significance matters. It can reduce stress and create an atmosphere of excellence in any business, including your own. If you do not apply it within your daily living, you are literally robbing yourself of your greatest potential as a human being. It’s that simple. It can make life easier for everyone in the world because it starts with you! It starts with all of us. It is said “Be the change you wish to see in the world”.

Success is not an event, but a journey. We are all on our journey to becoming. Some may say we are on different journeys. Well, I say we are on the same journey- which is to Become. We’re actually on different paths to becoming; it’s the experiences that are different.

The Spirit of Significance is a life that adds value to other people which combined with success, is actually a part of living life inspired. When you change your mindset, you literally change your life.

Remember, we’re always growing and expanding. It’s a natural part of life. As we grow and evolve so will our wants, needs, desires and dreams.

Things that make us feel happy, excited, and purpose-driven may not be the same for others. Living significantly keep us open to try new things and give ourselves permission to grow.

Check the Spirit within yourself to see if you’re connected to who you are. This is a lifelong journey, so stay committed to the process. Be significantly you!

I’ve been sharing wisdom now for over 14 years to women that are in transition in their lives to elevate! Currently I am doing a 90-day Challenge through the Walking In Victory Workbook. It is a strategic tool that guides individuals to transform an area of their life that matter most. The person that uses the workbook focus on one area at a time and for 90 days stays consistent in using the tools in the workbook to create a sustainable change. This workbook has been tested and we are looking to go to the next level with it already!

The goal now is to increase my reach with the women with the workbooks and same for the youth with 30 Victory Lessons For Teens, which is a book I wrote right before the pandemic catering to young adult groups. I haven’t put a number on how many people to impact like I see a lot of people do! I want to reach the people that need my products and services. The people who need to listen to a video message that I have created. All what you see today started when I was on low income paying 50 dollars in rent raising three kids and going to college. All I could think about is how to make someone else life better mentally, spiritually, and financially.

I love giving back to my community and sharing my talent with the world which is serving as I play my part in this big world we live in. I believe if we all use our gifts right now that the world would shift in a positively manner. So, I just encourage, empower, and elevate. I tell people I am really in the healing business because there is nothing like for your MENTAL, SPIRTUAL, AND FINANCAL BEING IN A STATE OF ABUNDANCE! My message to the readers is stay connected to the master because he has the plan, get still enough to hear, so that you can be clear, then commit with your actions, and do it faithfully with full confidence that the vision will come to past! Practice your craft. Practice reading a book aloud at home. Record your practice sessions with professional recording software to help you refine the details of your performance. Create your own space for a casual home studio—perhaps in a closet where you can hang soundproof material on the walls to cut down on ambient noise.

Consider investing in a professional microphone with a pop filter, which can soften distracting hard consonants in your speech. Listen to an audio file of your narration, and pay attention to your speech quirks so you can refine your cadence and articulation.

Study various audiobooks. Research and listen to a range of audiobooks featuring prominent or up-and-coming narrators in the field. Scrutinize their pacing, cadence, inflections, and other reading techniques. Studying how experienced narrators regulate their breathing and switch between different voices can inform your reading and performance techniques. Audiobooks can be pricey, so check online to see if your local library has any in stock that you can reserve. Some library systems have apps where you can stream specific audiobook titles for free.

Promote yourself. Most audiobook narrators work freelance, so you will need to promote yourself diligently to land new gigs. Start by making a website where you can host a voice-over demo to give potential clients a sample of your vocal style. A voice-over demo, or VO demo, is an audio compilation that voiceover artists use to showcase their abilities (and what casting directors use to connect voice actors with potential clients). An audiobook demo reel should showcase your talents and range of vocal skills, which will increase your chance of landing a paid role.

Apply for positions. Regularly search the postings on career websites for online casting calls. Any experience you can gain is valuable when you’re just starting out. Be wary of scams lurking in online job postings or pay-to-play sites that require a membership fee for auditions, and always research a potential position before accepting it.

According to the majestic person that you are, created in the image of God and his likeness, a little lower than the angels crowned with glory and honor your SIGNIFICANCE is your birthright. Every human being has been born into a socialized understanding of themselves from family, society, culture, community, church, and educational systems.

Through subjective human thought processes, we’ve been taught and caught many assumptions. As seeds growing up in environments that color and shape our identity, vision, power, and mindset. You’ve been taught by a larger society that everyone wants to feel significant, be significant, and do significant things that contribute to the larger society.

I’m here to tell you that whether you do anything great or small when it comes to significance you JUST ARE in God’s eyes. Your value, worth, and importance are embodied in the breath God blew in the nostrils of the 1st humans that became living souls. Co-Sign your Significance is about the world understanding in their spirit and soul they must 1st put on the breastplate of God’s Approval at the risk of what everyone else believes, says, or thinks of them. You must believe that you are APPROVED to be, become, and live out your Divine Design.

Listen in the world’s eyes you are NOTHING, or you are EVERYTHING, depends on the way you want to see it, think it, and tell it. Having this knowledge isn’t power but applying this knowledge and understanding is power & intelligence.

Many of you feel overlooked, not enough, left behind the gate, like you missed your moment. Many have lived out roles and characters in the stories of others and never found their own story. You have a power- place in the world. You are meant to know and understand your own significance in order to live out the life you want to leave.

YOU HAVE A MARK TO MAKE God says in the scripture “I knew you before you were” and he thought of you, then fearfully and wonderfully put your name on the “let there be manifesto” and you were uniquely, individually born. The Etymology of the word Significance is Latin: Signum: Sign, Mark, Seal. Words such as signature, signal, signify, signet, and design at the root carry the meaning of authority, attention, to make known, to be a sign, a plan of something to be done, an identifying mark.

CO-SIGN YOUR SIGNIFICANCE To truly know, love, and embrace yourself is to accept that as seeds any environments, foundation, and groundwork that we were planted in, doesn’t mean we have to be buried. Your conditions are not your conclusions. You are as important as the next person, you are self-evident, so say HELLO WORLD HERE I AM. You are a sign and a symbol.

In our socialized world, we have criteria that we qualify and classify ourselves and others by such as status, money, position, class, race, connections, possessions, talent, and skills. Everybody will not clap for you and many will not recognize your significance, as well as yourself. You will have to develop the personal power to push past those layers, lies, and lacks in your life. The future you, is WAITING FOR YOU TO SHOW UP. It’s time you explore what’s beyond what you’ve been taught and caught. Allow yourself to align with the potential of the power of visualization while operating from a larger vision and picture of yourself. Amplify the experience by being intentional. God is not just the God of your right not but the God of your “not yet & what is to come”.
