FOCUS: THE SCIENCE OF SPORTS
STEAM will be illustrated through physical and eSports activities. Our summer experience will take place in a 21ST CENTURY META LAB ENVIRONMENT which includes critical thinking sessions, literacy projects, financial and business acumen, active service community projects, project-based learning, agriculture, visual and performing arts(music/orchestra, dance and acting), PE and environmental integration. Students will learn franchising and project management skills, as well as participate in emotional growth and personal discipline activities and weekly field trips. The students will say it, see it and do it as it pertains to illustrating STEAM.

ABOUT BULLSEYE CAMP
Bullseye Academy (BA) is a component of the South Arrow Youth Council. BA is an early intervention summer program for elementary students (kindergarten-8th grade). Utilizing best practices, we are training young scholars to discover and target their potential to change our world through leadership in SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, MATH, SERVICE LEARNING AND 21st century habits of mind. This is the beginning of global leadership and the Arrow way of life. As a young Arrow, your student is a DASH. Developing Arrow Students of higher learning.

BULLSEYE CAMP WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT The idea of emphasizing these subjects in delivering the curriculum has been driven by the business community, with the goal of preparing an agile and competitive workforce. It is important to note that STEAM is not a program, but more like a philosophy. In the real world, content knowledge is interwoven, layered and sophisticated, not experienced in isolation such as in traditional education settings (separate math time, separate science time, etc.). STEAM skills are vital for success in the 21st century and critical to our collective future. The "Critical C's" of Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Communication are emphasized through project-based learning, usually through interdisciplinary (across subjects) activities.

MEET THE TEAM DENISE LESURE – CAMP DIRECTOR Denice LeSure is a Navy veteran with 21+ years experience teaching, mentoring, coaching and tutoring kids.
JEREMY CRANE – ASST. CAMP DIRECTOR Jeremy Crane is an educator and lifelong learner with a passion for equity in resources and access to opportunities in education, social justice, and noncustodial parents who love their children. YOLANDA BROWN – LEAD TEACHER Yolanda M. Brown is an Early Childhood Educator who comes to us with 40 years of classroom experience.

DR. HENRY WASHINGTON, III – DIVINE LEADERSHIP MENTORING
Dr. Henry Washington, III is a retired major in the US army that provides leadership and discipline training, specializing in the seven core values of leadership.

Derrick Townsend, CFT, CSN is the CEO/President of Hopeful Change, LLC in which he facilitates and oversees several programs.

Sinfo-Nia Youth Orchestra continues providing excellence in music education, training, local and international performance opportunities, as well as celebrating and archiving works of the world’s greatest black composers for over three decades. Specializing in a proven curriculum taught by highly qualified, professional instructors for violin, viola, cello and double bass, your young musician is sure to lead their class during fall semester.

COACH ERICH THOMAS
PHAROAH’S CONCLAVE AND MORRIS BROWN COLLEGE Coach E is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. As a graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School’s Math and Science Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, Coach E went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science Management from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. Upon graduation, Coach E spent a decade in the Construction Industry in Project Engineering & Management. As an educator, Coach E began his career as a College & Career Readiness Coach and went on into the classroom to teach Middle Grades and High School Math, Science & History. Since 2004, Coach E has been an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and in 2016, cofounded Pharaoh's Conclave and serves as Executive Director of its non-profit PCX GO! Inc. Most recently, Coach E became the Georgia Governor of Esports with the Armature Athletic Union (AAU) and in 2021, was installed as the Professor of Esports at Morris Brown College where he helped to establish and launch the Ronald Floyd Thomas Center for Esports & Innovation. Coach E takes very seriously the moniker "Coach" and continues his mission of preparing the next generation of young professionals in whatever they choose to do, be it as an educator in the classroom, in life as a mentor, on the playing field in sports, or now in the metaverse with video games.

L.E.A.D. Inc., or Learn, Educate, Advocate, Develop, in partnership with Eagles Economic Development, will support learners with unique learning needs enrolled in BullsEye 2K22. Any child that has an IEP or 504 plan can receive on-site academic tutoring in Reading and Math. Staff certified in Special Education will be on-site in the afternoon 2-3 days a week to work with students in grades K5. The hourly summer rate is $40 per hour.

I D.R.E.A.M. ACADEMY As a music teacher, educator and youth advocate, Mark has championed the cause of Urban Youth Development through his C.R.U.N.K. Kids Network (Creating Rhythmic Unity in our Nations Kids) and the C.R.U.N.K. Kids Record label, an urban alternative to the mainstream music for kids. Through his I D.R.E.A.M. Series (Developing Rising Entrepreneurs through Arts & Music) and his children’s musical play entitled, “Lemonade”, Mark Peay is utilizing the Performing Arts to offer youth creative diversions and crime deterrents
