JOLT, or Jewish Outreach Leadership Training, is CYJ’s flagship program for youth tikkun olam, or community outreach. Participants in the program receive a minimum of 20 hours of community service and have the opportunity to engage in active, social causes and receive hands-on experience volunteering in the community.
The main educational objectives of the JOLT programs are: leadership, tikkun olam, development of Jewish identity, and developing ties to their kvutza/community. CHW is proud to be connected with CYJ and helping to make a difference in the lives of so many young adults.
The Treehouse Vancouver Child and Youth Advocacy Centre offers a safe, child-focused space that brings together law enforcement, healthcare, and social services to support children and youth who have experienced abuse or trauma. Treehouse is supported by CHW through Franny’s Fund. Franny’s Fund was created to fill gaps for urgent needs like counselling and legal fees for children/youth and their families who are navigating the criminal justice system.

Franny’s Fund provides specialized trauma counselling to children and youth who would otherwise face long waitlists or would not be able to access this level of care elsewhere. Thanks to your support, Treehouse can provide long-term specialized therapy for children navigating challenging family environments, including foster care.
