EVENT DETAILS A national celebration of women's power, creativity, and voice presented by CHW. SHE DAY is CHW’s brand-new national event designed to inspire and connect communities across North America.

SHE DAY is a multi-city celebration in honour of International Women’s Day, activating communities across Canada and in Florida in the United States.

SHE DAY programming explores themes of women’s empowerment, leadership, health, mental wellness, fashion, and beauty. Across the country, participants will experience an inspiring lineup of speakers, artists, and performers who spark conversation, creativity, and change—bringing communities together through uplifting talks, energizing performances, and engaging activities.

Eden Association Founded in 1997, Eden Association is in the heart of the peripheral communities of southern Israel and the Negev settlements with the mission to develop and establish innovative programs for the treatment of girls and women dealing with post-trauma and complex post-trauma. Since October 7, there has been an urgent need for therapeutic support for women.

Untreated trauma worsens over time, affecting mental and physical health, daily life, and relationships. For women, the impact extends to their families, communities, and Israel’s social resilience. With support from CHW, they are expanding their Trauma Therapy Center to prevent long-term suffering, restore hope, and build a healthier future.

The Trauma Therapy Center operates based on the extensive expertise of the Eden Association in trauma care, utilizing the unique therapeutic approach known as the “Eden Model.” The center offers holistic treatment addressing both the body and mind, with personalized and group therapies tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by women and girls requiring mental health support or a nurturing community environment in the aftermath of recent events.

Additionally, the center offers treatment for women and young adults who have been suffering from complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) prior to the war, and whose conditions have worsened as a result.

SPEAKER BIOS Eve Barlow

GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY TORONTO Eve Barlow is an LA-based writer, thought leader and Jewish intellectual. She is the creator of the bestselling Substack newsletter Blacklisted.

After the October 7 massacre, Eve reported across the war both on the ground and in the diaspora. Eve is one of today’s strongest advocacy voices in fighting antisemitism and antizionism on social media, with a multi-million reach every month.

She has spoken to audiences all over North America, Europe and Australia for dozens of organizations, including Jewish Federation, UJA, Stand With Us, Prager U, BBYO, WIZO and JNF. Eve was recognized by Algemeiner at one of the Top 100 People Positively Influencing Jewish Life in both 2020 and 2021.

Eve is formerly a music and culture journalist. She was Deputy Editor of the NME until 2014 and thereafter freelanced for New York Magazine, The Guardian, Billboard, LA Times, Pitchfork, and GQ, among many other publications.

GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY CALGARY Amy Bondar is a Nutritional Therapist, Eating Psychology Coach, and speaker with over two decades of experience helping women transform their health through the power of food and the mind-body connection. With an integrative and compassionate approach, Amy gets to the root cause of health, weight and eating challenges and supports individuals in optimizing energy, reducing stress, balancing weight, and cultivating a healthier relationship with food and their bodies.

Drawing on functional nutrition, biochemical individuality, neural nutrient therapy, Eastern and Western philosophies and eating psychology, she blends science-backed insights with holistic wisdom to make nutrition practical, empowering, and deeply personal. MODERATOR, SHE DAY VANCOUVER Amy Bondar is a Nutritional Therapist, Eating Psychology Coach, and speaker Jocelyn Brown is a Health and Hospital Administrator and Project Manager with more than 25 years’ experience. She has been employed by BC Children’s Hospital, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

Currently as a project manaher and health care consultant, Jocelyn is known for being a proactive networker who nurtures strong and collaborative relationships. She is highly organized leader who helps organizations identify and implement efficiencies and new processes, logistics, and planning.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Jocelyn has lived in Vancouver since 1997.

Jocelyn earned her Master of Health Administration (MHA) from University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administrative Studies & Mathematics from University of Winnipeg.

Jocelyn has served the Jewish community as a board member of Hillel BC, CHW, Vancouver Jewish Film Festival, Richmond Jewish Day School, and the Kehila Society. Jocelyn lives in Steveston, Richmond, with her husband and their two university-aged children.

GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY TORONTO Brooke Goldstein is a Miami-based human rights attorney, award-winning filmmaker, and author. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Lawfare Project, a global legal organization dedicated to defending the civil rights of Jewish people through strategic legal actions. The organization provides pro bono legal services and manages an international network of over 800 lawyers.

She is also the founder of #EndJewHatred, a grassroots movement aimed at eliminating Jew-hatred through education and direct action.

Goldstein’s documentary, The Making of a Martyr, investigates the recruitment of Palestinian children for suicide attacks. She is a regular commentator on FOX News and has contributed to various media outlets. A sought-after public speaker, she has lectured at top universities and briefed government officials on human rights issues.

GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY EDMONTON Carolina Carvalho Mendes holds degrees in Physical Therapy and Psychology.

After leaving Brazil in 2008 and stepping away from her career as a physiotherapist, she redirected her focus toward family life while raising her two daughters in Canada. As her family grew, Carolina felt a strong calling to contribute more broadly to her community. In 2024, she began her journey toward becoming a Registered Psychologist.

Carolina is deeply committed to women’s physical and psychological health and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Jewish community in Edmonton as a volunteer with Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW).

In January, she travelled to Israel as part of the 2026 Impact Israel trip, where she witnessed firsthand the projects supported by CHW. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors with her family, and swimming weekly with her husband.

SPEAKER BIOS Laura Mossey

GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY VANCOUVER

Raised in Ontario, Laura earned a BA in History from the University of Western Ontario, where she was first introduced to Middle Eastern history. She completed her teaching degree at UBC and returned to Ontario for a full-time career as an elementary school teacher and Literacy Consultant with the Durham District School Board. In 2013, her family relocated to Port Moody, BC. Today, Laura works as a teacher-on-call with SD43 Coquitlam, often teaching history and using the classroom as an opportunity to clarify misconceptions about Israel. Her most important role is being a wife and mother to two children. Her son, Nathaniel, studies engineering at Queen’s University, and her daughter, Michaela, is in Grade 11 and deeply passionate about social issues.

Laura has committed herself to listening and learning so she can speak with historical clarity and factual integrity in defense of Israel and Canada’s Jewish community. Since October 7, she has read more than 30 books on Islam, Israel, and the conflict. In March 2025, she traveled to Israel with JNF Greater Toronto — a profoundly life-changing experience.

In 2025, Laura was the recipient of an Allyship Award from the Vancouver Jewish community, presented through the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. She is also an outspoken advocate for social justice and Israel on social media.

Raised in the Anglican Church, Laura always understood Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. Her resolve to stand up for Canada’s Jewish community is rooted in a deep respect for the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and for Jewish values of ethical responsibility, social justice, and compassion. She is currently studying the Torah through participation in the 929 Project.

Ruth M’Rav Jankelowitz is an NCIDQ-qualified interior designer with over 30 years of experience in commercial and hospitality design. She has worked internationally with leading fashion and lifestyle brands including Timberland, Bebe, Polo, DKNY, Nike, Balle, and Nine West.

Ruth’s portfolio spans retail, restaurant, corporate, and hospitality environments. She currently works with established restaurant groups and commercial clients such as OEB Breakfast Co., Tap & Barrel, Earnest Ice Cream, Field and Social, and Return It. Known for her strategic and practical approach, Ruth brings deep expertise in translating brand identity, operational needs, and customer experience into built environments that perform.

SPEAKER BIOS Lindsay Pinchuk

GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY TORONTO Lindsay Pinchuk is an award-winning acquired founder, podcast host, and marketing consultant. She is part of less than 1% of female founders who successfully led their company through an acquisition.

She is also a suburban mom who spoke out on behalf of Israel and the Jewish community on October 8, 2023. That day, she posted a video from a Whole Foods parking lot—and by the time she got home, it had more than 100,000 views. It marked the beginning of her public advocacy, and more than two years later, she hasn’t stopped.

While Lindsay lost nearly 10,000 followers across her platforms, she gained over 50,000 and became a voice of inspiration for both Jewish and nonJewish audiences. Since January 2024, she has traveled nationwide sharing her message It’s Never Wrong to Do What’s Right, with dozens of communities and organizations including Jewish Federations, NAVI, Kesher Forum, Anti-Defamation League and more. Jewish Women International named her a 2025 “Women to Watch.”

In addition to her advocacy, Lindsay consults with female founders to build their brands and is the founder of Dear FoundHer…, a top 0.5% podcast and community supporting women over forty as they build and grow their businesses.

SPEAKER BIOS Dr. Tamara Shenkier GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY VANCOUVER Dr. Tamara Shenkier is a Vancouver-based medical oncologist and educator who retired from BC Cancer in November 2025 after a 31-year clinical career, focused on breast cancer care since 2014. She held senior leadership roles in medical education and governance, including Program Director of the UBC Medical Oncology Training Program and Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Medical Oncology Specialty Committee, and was the inaugural Medical Director of the After Breast Cancer Service, a BC Cancer–BC Women’s collaboration supporting survivorship care.

She also played a central role in physician leadership and engagement, serving as President of the BC Cancer Medical Staff Engagement Society and the BC Cancer Medical–Dental Staff Association, revitalizing physician voice, collaboration, and wellness across the organization. More recently, she served as Vice-Chair of the Provincial Health Services Authority Health Authority Medical Advisory Committee (PHSA HAMAC), contributing to system-level medical governance. She was recognized with the YWCA Women of Distinction Award (Education, Training & Development) in 2024.

Outside of work, Tamara is most proud of being married for 37 years and the mother of two adult daughters. She values friendships, family, and community and loves spending time in the natural beauty of British Columbia. She has raised significant funds through sponsored cycling events for Callanish, a local non-profit that offers a restorative retreat and healing community for people whose lives have been irrevocably changed by cancer (callanish.org). She also supports the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver as a long-time volunteer canvasser.

Tamara is an inaugural and ongoing board member of the Jewish Medical Association of British Columbia, founded in early 2024 to help create a supportive professional home for Jewish physicians and health professionals, foster mentorship across generations, and strengthen Jewish voice and belonging in healthcare. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, cycling, skiing, walking her dog in the forest — and singing enthusiastically (if not expertly) in community choirs.

SPEAKER BIOS Jessica Snow

EMCEE & MODERATOR, SHE DAY TORONTO Jessica Snow is a growth executive, founder, and investor with more than 20 years of experience scaling leading consumer and industrial brands, including Walmart, Tim Hortons, and TD/Aeroplan.

She is Co-Founder of Be Uninterrupted, a private accelerator that uses AI and human connection to help women leaders fast-track their success in life, not just work, and currently serves as Chief Growth Officer of Polytarp, a manufacturing and packaging company. She is also an investor in Alt-Pro Advantage, a pet-nutrition company.

A board member, philanthropist, and advocate for women’s advancement and animal welfare. Jessica is based in Toronto, Canada, where she lives with her husband, two children, and her dog.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with High Distinction from McGill University.

SPEAKER BIOS Tina Vanderworp GUEST SPEAKER, SHE DAY EDMONTON Tina Vanderworp, CCC, MPS, is a Certified Canadian Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience supporting women, teens, couples, and families through trauma, grief, and major life transitions.

Tina integrates gentle yet powerful, body-based approaches that help individuals access emotions and memories with safety and compassion. A core part of her work includes inner child healing, supporting clients in addressing and healing childhood and past wounds so they can experience healing, self-connection, self-understanding and a new sense of vitality in their lives.

In her couples work, Tina focuses on restoring emotional safety, closeness, and intimacy as both partners learn to move from defensiveness and disconnection toward accountability, empathy, and secure attachment.

Tina holds a master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Spirituality and is trained in Focusing-Oriented Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, traumainformed care, art therapy, grief counselling, and couples therapy. Her clinical specialties include PTSD, attachment injuries, parenting challenges, grief and loss, and women navigating their relationships, sexuality, and life transitions.

With a background in dance and authentic movement, Tina brings a somatic and holistic lens to mental health, attuning to the body and honoring it as an essential part of healing. She is married and is the mother of two daughters and is deeply passionate about empowering women to reclaim their voice, worth, and return to a sense of wholeness.
