A sustainable future Only two short months after Lynn stepped into her new role as National President, we wrapped up a packed itinerary in Israel during the month of January. Traversing across the magnificent country, we met with our partners and donors, toured social impact investments, and visited many of CHW’s beloved projects, including Hadassah Medical Center, Shamir Medical Center, Netanya Technological High School, and Hadassah Academic College.

When we visited Nahalal Youth Village, we dedicated and opened the new Graduate Housing Unit, which was supported by CHW donors and very generous donations provided by Roslyn Joseph and the Estate of Martha Vajda during our 2021 end of year campaign. At Hadassim Children and Youth Village, we were joined by the Fisher family for a dedication of the therapeutic counselling program for at-risk youth, generously supported by the Jaclyn Fisher Foundation. At Neri Bloomfield Academy of Design, we learned more about the school’s recent merger with Haifa University and the many changes to come in future.

We also attended the WIZO annual MOR (Meeting of Representatives) with global representatives and passionate volunteers who continue to provide funding for WIZO from dedicated donors around the world.

Our successful 2022 end of year campaign, Empower Bright Minds, wrapped up recently after raising an unprecedented $142,000+ for our education projects. Your generous philanthropy will make an impact for students in Israel and empower them to build bright futures. To our dedicated supporters who make an enormous difference in the lives of our students, todah rabah for your generosity.

It is always amazing how quickly time passes. Just a few months ago, we completed our exciting inaugural Journey 4 Impact and now we are planning the 2023 trip, which will take place from October 23-30 in Israel. This incredible one-week experience is limited to only 50 participants each year. CHW’s second round of social impact investing will be a highlight and allows us to make a $300,000 investment to support exciting women-led, socially conscious businesses. These businesses employ and empower all women, thereby providing economic independence for Israeli women regardless of religion or cultural backgrounds. I hope you will join us this year for an adventure of a lifetime and help create sustainable change. You can learn more about the experience in this edition of ORAH. CHW is the first Canadian Jewish organization to launch a gender-lens investment strategy that ensures better outcomes in areas such as gender disparities, social mobility, and economic opportunities for women and girls; all closely aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Every dollar invested by CHW’s Social Impact Fund will generate a clear and measurable social and financial return on investment and create sustainable funding.

CHW continues to move forward to meet the needs of a new generation of donors and volunteers while safeguarding our roots. HAC DAN DEPARTMENT OF CREATIVE HUMAN DESIGN GRADUATE PROFILE

Innovation

AFTER GRADUATION

H

adar Sasson grew up in Be’er Sheva, a city in Israel’s remote Negev Desert. When it came time to apply for higher education, Hadar knew she wanted to study at Hadassah Academic College (HAC). She was eager to join The DAN Department of Creative Human Design because of its unique focus on the intersection of healthcare with inclusive industrial design.

As the pandemic subsided and students returned to in-person classes, many were surprised to see a new addition to the campus: The Blender Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Under the direction and leadership of Dr. Tali Hadasa Blank, The Blender serves as hub of innovation where a diverse group of students, staff, and alumni can network, collaborate, and gain the skills needed to realize their dreams. As its logo suggests, The Blender seeks to blend a wide range of colourful ideas from all disciplines.

Hadar had a chance to connect with The Blender through an international student innovation competition hosted by The United Arab Emirates. Hadar worked closely with the staff to take her project to the next level and develop professional marketing materials and a business plan. In fact, dozens of HAC students, together with Hadar, enjoyed their first exposure to the international innovation ecosystem through The Blender.

Over the past few months, Hadar has become more engaged with The Blender and receives ongoing support from the staff and professional consultants. She regularly joins workshops and is working side by side with a mentor to fine tune her strategic plans.

Looking back, I now realize that I was most drawn to researching and developing solutions that impact healthcare and women. I knew I wanted to focus on a product that could improve the lives of women and children for my graduating project. In my third year Telemedicine course, I was stunned to learn about the dire situation for women and children in Africa who were still battling with HIV/AIDS. My graduate project deals with the economic and geographical barriers that make hospitals and labs inaccessible. There are also cultural barriers, such as stigma, discrimination, and lack of women’s autonomy.

I was in touch with a community in Uganda and we started to explore some of the most pressing healthcare issues. We decided to focus our efforts on assisting a local medical clinic and doing a needs assessment of the patients, the facilities, and gaps in services. All of this happened during the pandemic, so everything was done over Zoom and WhatsApp. They were crucial partners in the project. My goal was to help one community meet their immediate needs.”

“After I graduated, I wasn’t sure of the direction I wanted to take or if I wanted to continue developing my graduating project. But after a short break and after meeting Canadians from CHW’s Journey 4 Impact trip, things changed. I was invited to pitch my project ideas to a small group and was delighted to hear such great feedback. I was so moved that people were genuinely curious about my work and offered wonderful advice. From that moment on, I felt ready and motivated to pursue my dream. This encounter gave me the confidence to continue developing my ideas and product.”

“The Blender staff are incredible and speak to you eye to eye. I don’t feel like they’re above me, but rather with me. The Blender is a place where I can express all my ideas and my thoughts. Aside from all the professional skills that I’ve gained through the program, equally important is the coaching and emotional support I receive from the team. I have many ups and downs, and I question what direction I should take, but the staff remain empathetic. There is a profound understanding of the emotional toll that an entrepreneur goes through.

A DAY of

Impact

As part of her first visit to Israel as the new CHW National President, Lynn Gillman travelled with a group of Canadians (pictured below left) from Tel Aviv to the Negev on January 23, 2023. The group consisted of CHW CEO Lisa Colt-Kotler, CHW Israel Director Rachel Lasry Zahavi, Chef Shawna Goodman, Public Affairs Officer from the Canadian Embassy in Israel Signe Katz, and CHW donors Ruth Garbe, Janis Levine, and Elaine Tal El (read Elaine’s reflections on page 15). The group was accompanied by photographer and HAC graduate Dana Tal El.

e left Tel Aviv early on a beautiful Wednesday morning, headed for a day of gender lens impact investing and visiting social enterprises in the south. First, we travelled to Yerucham to visit Tech 19, one of the recipients of our 2022 social impact investments*. Tech 19 was established a year ago to provide quality hi-tech employment opportunities to women in the geographic periphery of Israel. Based in Yerucham, Tech 19 provides technical and innovative solutions to fintech, healthcare, and software companies, including prototyping, software, and hardware development. The women employed receive skills training and on-the-job support. They also become role models in their community, acting as an inspiration to the younger generation, while ensuring economic stability for their family.

At Tech 19, we heard from serial entrepreneur, Hana Rado (1), Chairman and Founder of Group 19. We also had the chance to meet Inbar Cohen (2), CEO of Tech 19, and the growing team of women meaningfully employed at the new tech hub.

3 The next stop on our social impact tour was Lechem Zeh for a baking workshop and lunch. But before we left Tech 19, we were surprised by a special delivery – Tech 19 and Lechem Zeh joined forces and sent our lunch invitation via drone!

We had worked up quite an appetite by the time we arrived at Lechem Zeh, and we were all excited (especially Chef Shawna) to participate in the lunch preparation.

Lechem Zeh was founded to serve the local community, from the belief that food, and particularly bread, brings people together.

Founded by Ariel Pollack (4), the social enterprise grew out of memories of home in North America, a love of community, and a deep desire to help small businesses grow and succeed. Based in the peripheral town of Yerucham, Lechem Zeh seeks to be an anchor for social activity in the Negev through community activism, health promotion through culinary activities, social tourism, and economic empowerment for women.

Ariel spoke about her vision while we joined in for a hands-on baking workshop. We also met local women who are generating extra income through baking and collective initiatives at Lechem Zeh.

A DAY of Impact cont’d After enjoying our fill of the most delicious bagels you’ll ever taste, we travelled to Segev Shalom to learn all about the Koret Israel Economic Development Fund (KIEDF). KIEDF aspires to create employment opportunities and social equality in the Israeli private sector, focusing on economically and socially marginalized populations. Specialized programs target women entrepreneurs from the Arab, Bedouin, and Druze communities, with little or no access to financial services, who can improve their social and economic situation through KIEDF’s micro-financing and business support.

We heard from Chagit Rubenstein (5), Vice President of Operations, who spearheads and oversees several micro-finance programs for Arab, Bedouin, and Druze women. We also had the opportunity to meet with local Bedouin women who established successful micro-businesses with ongoing support from KIEDF. One of the women, Roza (6), owns and operates the Roza Clinic, which specializes in therapeutic massages and spa treatments.

CHW is proud to be the first organization to launch a gender lens social impact investing fund in Israel as part of the inaugural CHW Journey 4 Impact 2022.

CHW invested in two groundbreaking social enterprises to amplify our impact in Israel: Tech 19 (details on pg 12) and Social Space TLV. Social Space TLV is a social innovation and education hub that sparks discussion around human trafficking and genderbased violence.

Established in 2019 on the former site of the Pussycat strip club, Social Space TLV now engages over 60,000 visitors a year on site through its educational programs.

Social Space TLV continues to convert abandoned buildings across Israel into spaces that encourage discussion and numerous educational experiences.

A special thank you to Elayna and Jonathan Latsky for the very generous gift of $100,000, which ensured the success of our social impact investing launch.

PROJECT VISITS

Irving Matlow and his children, Elaine and David, visited the Esther Matlowz”l Ophthalmology Department at Shamir Medical Center on November 1, 2022, to witness the inauguration ceremony of a new and advanced operating room. The Ophthalmology Department is named after the late Esther Matlowz”l, who served as CHW National President (1990-1993) and made a significant contribution to the close relationship forged between the hospital and CHW.

MEET

Maple THE CHW FUNDED PROTECTION DOG

M

eet Maple, a one-year-old Belgian Malinos. Maple loves taking long walks in nature and playing silly games.

Maple is also a new graduate of the Michal Sela Canines, an innovative program developed by Michal Sela Forum (MSF) together with domestic violence experts, legal experts, and elite security units in Israel. The program provides highly trained protection dogs for women who live under constant threat of violence from their ex-partners and is the only long-term, mobile solution that protects women. Whereas domestic violence shelters can offer temporary solutions, Michal Sela Canines allow women and their children to feel safe as they remain in their homes, jobs, and in their educational frameworks and communities.

After an intensive training period, Maple is officially serving as the protection dog of Sari,* a woman who has been threatened by her ex-partner for years. Maple moved in with Sari and her three children in January 2023.

After welcoming Maple into their home, Sari’s children asked, “Mom, can Maple sleep in our room at night? Maple isn’t just a protection dog, he’s a love dog.”

Before joining the program, Sari lived in constant fear and terror. She never went anywhere unless she absolutely had no choice. Trivial tasks like going to the supermarket or taking her children to school were a source of fear and anxiety.

At night, Sari would barricade herself in by pushing furniture up against the door and sealing her windows shut. The physical and emotional toll of constant terror on her and her children became unbearable. *Name and details changed to protect privacy.

Over the past few months, Sari has been preparing for the moment she could welcome her protection dog at home. As proud partners, CHW was excited to take part in the launch event and demo day on October 24, 2022, where Sari met Maple for the very first time.

Together with the Ministry of National Security, MSF is operating a joint venture totaling NIS 2 million. When asked ‘How does it feel to save a life?” Lili Ben Ami shared how proud she is that this program will save and protect 82 women and 246 children.

CHW Honours Roslyn Joseph for her years of dedication and volunteerism In recognition for her many years of dedicated service and volunteerism, Roslyn Joseph was honoured with a special award during the Journey 4 Impact 2022 trip to Israel.

The new Roslyn Joseph Waiting Room and Reception was dedicated at Shamir Medical Center, (SMC) and a plaque was unveiled in recognition of Roslyn’s commitment to ensure excellence in patient care for SMC’s Institute of Pulmonary Functions and Diseases.

The new Pulmonary Institute, supported by CHW, celebrated its grand opening in January 2023.

THE STORY BEHIND THE DOCTOR As a child, Samuel decided to become a doctor so he could help his mother walk again. Today, Dr. Samuel Moscovici is a senior neurosurgeon and Director of the Skull Base and Pituitary Surgery Unit at Hadassah University Hospital. This is his story.

Even though having a mother with paralysis in 2/3 of her body was the norm for me, every birthday, every time I lost a tooth, or every time I was told to ‘close your eyes and think about something you really want,’ I always wished that my mother could walk again.

“I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. When I was almost two years old and my sister was three and a half years old, my mother was in the late stages of pregnancy with my brother. She was only 30 years old, so she was worried when she began to feel a weakness in her leg. Since she was pregnant, the doctors refrained from testing her. They kept telling her that they would check everything after she gave birth.

Immediately after she gave birth, the weakness did not pass; the situation worsened. She began to undergo a series of tests in which the doctors discovered a spinal cord tumor.

On the day of my second birthday, my mother had to undergo two surgeries to remove the tumor and unfortunately remained paralyzed from the chest down – 100 percent disability.

One thing I distinctly remember is how strict she was about swimming lessons because she could not get into the water with us. The biggest fear she had was that we would drown, and she would not be able to jump in to save us. For a long time, we took swimming lessons every day until we were excellent swimmers, and she could relax a little.

As I grew older and began to understand more, it hurt more. Every day, all the time, I saw what the life of a person who cannot walk and do things for themselves was like – I saw my mother.

Out of the pain, thoughts arose: ‘Maybe I can help? Maybe I can do something?’

My mother was a very strong woman, and she made up for her inability to move her legs in other ways. She always gave us all of herself, taught us new things, played with us, and educated us. Thanks to her, we had a wonderful childhood and never lacked anything.

As a child, I decided to become a doctor so my mother could walk again. I remember reading her surgical report and trying to understand every word.

Words I did not understand – and there were many.

I searched the books at home and in the dictionary.

There was no Google then like there is today.

I grew up, and the path continued to be clear. I was accepted to medical school and knew exactly the direction I wanted to take. Specializing in neurosurgery, I would be able to help my mother walk. This hope kept me safe and drove me, always to be the best I could, to deepen my understanding of the field, and explore new methods.

Naturally, in academia, I was always very interested in brain and spinal cord tumors in young women.

One of the important studies I worked on was for pregnant women with tumors and the significance and influence of pregnancy on the tumors. For me, it was not just another study; it really interested me. I was fascinated by the subject day and night.

At some point, I realized and internalized that after such a long time with a neurological deficit, it would be impossible for my mother to walk again.

However, the wish that accompanied me all my life did not disappear; it changed.

BREATHE LIFE The Institute of Pulmonary Functions and Diseases at Shamir Medical Center treats 4,600 respiratory, lung, and lung function disease patients each year. The Institute provides counseling for the inpatient and surgical wards, and also performs assessments of high-risk patients before surgery.

The Institute conducts advanced research in the fields of lung physiology and sleep medicine, and clinical studies of pharmaceutical companies and non-invasive respiratory best practices among hospitalized patients.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT NOW CHW is supporting the new, state-of-the-art Institute of Pulmonary Functions and Diseases. recent years, the hospital has seen a steady increase in lung disease and lung cancer. In addition, recent data indicates a significant increase in reported 1 Indamages to lung function due to COVID-19 and long COVID. A 50% increase has been predicted in the number of patients we treat every year, which will require a much larger designated area, fully equipped with devices and highly trained medical personnel to meet the needs of the population.

The previous site of the Pulmonary Institute is a small and outdated facility that dates back to the early-mid 1900s. Despite repeated attempts to

2 maintain the facility, the patchwork over the years has resulted in a substandard facility and a poor overall experience for patients.

Institute was evacuated in order to allow for the building of a new Emergency Medicine Department and Surgical Tower. The first step to becoming 3 The the largest hospital in Israel is rebuilding and expanding the gateway and heart of the medical centre. This means establishing a new emergency medicine department and a hospitalization tower on the site of the oldest buildings. The new Pulmonary Institute was built at the top of the existing laboratory building. This is a prime location as it is situated next to the new Emergency Medicine Department and Surgical Tower. The new Pulmonary Institute was opened in January 2023.

GIVE LOVE The new, state-of-the-art Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit (PCCCU) at Hadassah Hospital is the only one of its kind in Jerusalem. Pediatric cardiac critical care patients have unique needs, which is why we have a dedicated unit, distinct from the general critical care unit.

For these infants, precise diagnoses and immediate, advanced treatments are critical.

That’s why our compassionate, dedicated medical professionals are vital – to help keep the tiniest, most fragile hearts pumping strong.

Congenital heart defects comprise the most common type of birth defect. Currently, the global incidence of congenital heart disease at birth has been estimated at eight to 12 cases per 1,000 live births. These statistics highlight the overwhelming demand for advanced pediatric cardiac critical care.

HOW YOU CAN HELP US SAVE LIVES NOW CHW is supporting four new PCCCU Isolation Bays. Epidemics of antibiotic-resistant infections are occurring more frequently, dramatically impacting patients’ morbidity and mortality. As a result, inpatient departments are often shut down while they are disinfected, so it is critical to have isolations rooms for patients who have acquired such infections.

Each isolation room is outfitted with an anteroom for disinfecting hands and gowning before entering the patient room. Entrance to each room is through two sets of doors. The isolation rooms are equipped with a special filtration system to clean and recycle the air and keep the infected air from entering the general hallway. All medical equipment is used only in that room for that patient to avoid transferring the infection via the machines.

CHW Nahalal Youth Village turns 100!

CHW has been proudly supporting CHW Nahalal Youth Village since 1923.

We support our projects at CHW Nahalal Youth Village during our end of year campaign.

Currently, we are supporting the dairy farm, but in 2021, our campaign supported the new graduate dorms. Graduate students call CHW Nahalal their home for four years, but sadly, after graduation many don’t have another place to go. Some have come from abroad, while others were removed from toxic home environments.

The graduate dorm funded by CHW is a transition residence before the next stage of life, which may include National Service, IDF training, extended study, or employment. Some graduates stay a short time, while others need prolonged stays.

The new graduate dorms were recently opened after a ribbon cutting ceremony was performed during the WIZO Meeting of Representatives (MOR) touring day. CHW National President Lynn Gillman and CHW CEO Lisa Colt-Kotler were there for the grand opening. Together with CHW Israel Director Rachel Lasry-Zahavi and WIZO Chairperson Anita Friedman, they visited the new dorm, took a tour of the interior, and Lynn even got to cut the ribbon!

NATIONAL JOURNEY 4 IMPACT 2022 SOCIAL Impact Investing Launch CHW completed its first round of social impact investing in Israel on October 27, 2022,, as part of the inaugural CHW Journey 4 Impact trip of a lifetime. CHW is proud to be the first organization to launch a social impact investing fund in Israel through a gender lens. CHW is committed to a gender-lens impact investment strategy, to focus on equality and informed investment decisions impacting numerous social issues comprising gender disparities, social mobility, and economic opportunities for women; all closely aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the culmination of Journey 4 Impact, participating investors evolved into the judges at the hybrid launch. The event was live-streamed in Canada. The judges evaluated a pre-vetted selection of three women-led, social enterprises, including Relyon.AI, Social Space TLV, and Tech19. The core objective of the impact investment fund is to enable women entrepreneurs to launch socially conscious businesses that generate impact in Israel, provide employment for at-risk women, and provide education about gender-based violence. After an intense deliberation, the team of judges awarded $180,000 CAD to Tech19 and $120,000 CAD to Social Space TLV. Relyon.AI will receive mentorship, business consultations, and networking opportunities through CHW. A special thank you to Ambassador of Canada to Israel, Lisa Stadelbauer, for attending our in-person event. CHW NATIONAL AGM & INSTALLATION Thank you to everyone who attended our National AGM on November 20, 2022. We were honoured to hear from our two very special guest speakers, Galia Alef, Director of CHW Nahalal Youth Village, and Dr. Tali Hadasa Blank, Senior Lecturer, and Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Hadassah Academic College who updated in-person and online participants on the valuable work being achieved at both organisations.

Immediate Past National President, Elayna Latsky, gave her final report as CHW National President, the CHW Annual Financial Statement was presented by Yuri Kostowskyj, Fruitman Kates LLP, and a presentation was also made by CEO, Lisa Colt-Kotler. The AGM also included the installation of our new Board of Directors, as well as the installation of our new CHW National President, Lynn Gillman.

VANCOUVER WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN CHW Vancouver Centre hosted their Women Empowering Women opening luncheon in honour of Daniella Givon, at Richmond Country Club on Sunday, October 16, 2022. This event featured special guest speaker Rebecca Snukal, BA, LLB, QC, Founder of Franny's Fund and was in support of CHW Nahalal Youth Village.

Toby Rubin was installed as the new CHW Vancouver Centre President, and outgoing presidents Stephanie Rusen and Sasha Gerson were thanked for their service. Toby Rubin was featured in the Jewish Independent, which highlighted her mission and commitement to the role and the future of CHW Vancouver Centre.

CALGARY ANNUAL TOY DRIVE CHW Calgary Centre held its twenty first Annual Toy Drive. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to the CHW Calgary Centre for making this year’s toy drive such a success. Toys and gift cards were delivered to children and families in-need being served by JFSC and children receiving care at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Gifts were purchased by the co-chairs and delivered to JFSC in time for Chanukkah.

CASINO EVENT

CHW Calgary Centre had its first casino event in 26 months since the beginning of the Pandemic on November 13 and 14, 2022. This important fundraiser supported CHW Calgary Centre’s work in the local community, including scholarships at Mount Royal University and Alberta University of the Arts.

TORONTO WALK IN MEMORY OF CARRIE MILLERz”l

CHW TORONTO CHAVEROT CHAPTER CHW Toronto Chaverot Chapter beat the rain on Sunday, September 11, 2022 and walked in memory of the life of past Chaverot Chapter member Carrie Miller z”l and in support of the WIZO Safety Net Program. The walk was followed by a Chapter brunch, which reunited the Chapter after months of Zoom meetings!

YORKVILLE SOUND CHW TORONTO SHOSHANA CHAPTER On Thursday, November 17, 2022, CHW Toronto Shoshana Chapter welcomed back Musicologist Mike Daley to present an entertaining and informative video lecture on the history of Yorkville. Guests took a stroll down memory lane learning about the live music of the Yorkville coffee house district of Toronto in the 1950s and 1960s.

TORONTO BAGELS & BOOK LAUNCH CHW TORONTO ATID CHAPTER On Sunday, November 13, 2022, CHW Toronto Atid Chapter and Beit Rayim Synagogue hosted a Bagels & Book Launch. Guests in-person and via Zoom enjoyed a one-on-one conversation between journalist/CJN podcaster Ellin Bessner and acclaimed, up-and-coming thriller novelist Deborah Levison (author of “The Crate”), for the Canadian launch of Levison’s exciting new novel, “A Nest of Snakes.”

PRESIDENT’S FORUM CHW Toronto Centre President, Stephanie Caplan, hosted the first President’s Forum of her term on Thursday, November 24, 2022. A large group gathered virtually, with excellent representation across the CHW Toronto Chapters.

by CHW after her return from the Journey 4 Impact trip, in October 2022.

An Evening with marsha lederman CHai tea CHW TORONTO L’Netzach CHAPTER On Sunday, February 5, 2023, CHW Toronto L’Netzach Chapter hosted Chai Tea in Concert at Heliconian Hall. Shoshana Teller and Jeremy Bell entertained the audience, playing the piano and violin respectively. The event was a huge success in support of CHW Hadassim Children and Youth Village Music Program and Franny’s Fund.

CHW TORONTO machar CHAPTER On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, CHW Toronto Machar Chapter presented An Evening with Marsha Lederman, bestselling author of “Kiss the Red Stairs: The Holocaust, Once Removed”. OTTAWA CHANUKAH Gift Fair CHW Ottawa Centre was delighted to participate in the Ottawa Chanukah Craft Fair on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Soloway Jewish Community Centre. Volunteers set up a craft table filled with a wide variety of Chanukah-related crafts, and sales from their wares were in support of CHW Projects in Israel.

TORONTO/MONTREAL CHANUKAH PARTY BINGO with COMEDIAN JOE FISH CHW Virtual Chanukah Party Bingo was back this year and better than ever! On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, CHW Toronto Centre and CHW Montreal Centre hosted a night of fun with the help of comedian Joe Fish in support of the CHW Empower Bright Minds Education Campaign.

After five thrilling and competitive rounds of Bingo, many players walked away with fabulous prizes, and some lucky players won door prizes. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this event another great success.

MONTREAL CHW Montreal Shoshanim Anniversary

In December 2022, the CHW Montreal Shoshanim Chapter celebrated its 30th anniversary. It was a lovely evening and an opportunity to connect. Kudos to Alana Shiveck, CHW Montreal Past President and Co-Founder of the Shoshanim Chapter, for initiating the reunion and pulling together such a beautiful event. The evening included a Shoshanim Bingo Trivia game organized by Sheila Nemtin Levine, CHW Montreal Past President, and a star dedication. The Shoshanim Chapter now has a place of pride on the Neri J. Bloomfield Wall of Honour at CHW Montreal Centre.
