HONOURING This year's event will feature a special tribute to outgoing CHW Vancouver Centre President Toby Rubin, honouring her outstanding leadership, dedication, and many years of service.

TOBY RUBIN Originally from Saskatchewan, Toby spent the majority of her life in the Lower Mainland and has proudly been a CHW supporter for nearly 35 years. She is the third of four generations of women in her family to support CHW, and she is especially grateful to have worked alongside her daughter, Lauren. Over the years, Toby has held various roles on the local executive, including chairing most of the Opening Luncheons over the past eight years. She just completed four years as CHW Vancouver Centre President. Toby is honoured to serve on the National Board with such a remarkable group of talented and passionate women. CHW has long been an integral part of her life, and the experiences she’s shared — from the early National Conventions to the Journey for Impact tour that she attended with her husband — have strengthened her commitment and reinforced the deep meaning CHW holds for her and her family.

SPONSORS Todah Rabbah to CHW for your positively impactful work in our communities. Kol Ha’kavod!

Esther Chetner & Family

There are many great Jewish women who have enhanced the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, predominantly women and children living in Israel. Among them, Henrietta Szold, who in 1912 created Hadassah, the women’s Zionist organization of the United States, an agency that would soon become the largest and most powerful Zionist group in the country. And women like Vera Weizmann, Israel’s first “First Lady” who founded the Women’s International Zionist Organization, and who in 1921, while visiting Toronto, persuaded Hadassah to affiliate with WIZO. And then there is Toby Rubin, a force for good who sits proudly but humbly on the shoulders of these Jewish Giants taking her rightful place among the best of our community’s leaders. It is a tremendous honour to recognize Toby’s many achievements and to celebrate her beautiful heart that propels her to do so much for so many. Mazal Tov to our dear friend — With love

The Dales Family
