Agape Latte, BC's popular coffeehouse faith storytelling series, launches its 15th season on Tuesday, September 21st in Hillside Cafe with featured speaker, Fr. Tom Stegman, S.J., Dean of the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. Agape Latte invites your favorite BC faculty, staff and alumni to share powerful personal stories about times they saw God working in their everyday life. With musical guests, coffee, desserts, trivia, giveaways, and more!

Blessing for BC Families

Holy Family Wood Carving on Commonwealth Ave. Join us for a special Blessing for BC Families at the new Holy Family Wood Carving on Friday, September 24th at 11:00 am. Attendees will receive a Holy Family medal, blessed by Fr. Quang Tran, S.J.

A centuries-old oak tree on the edge of Boston College's Brighton Campus was removed this past spring due to failing health. Ken Packie, a Massachusetts artist who specializes in wood sculptures, was commissioned by the University to carve the tree's nearly six-foot-wide base into a three-dimensional portrayal of the Holy Family, celebrating Boston College's Jesuit Catholic heritage and recognizing the historical significance of Brighton Campus. - University Communications, "A Second Life"

PRAYING THE LABYRINTH:

for the 20th anniversary of september 11th Stop by the Memorial Labyrinth any time this week to receive an instructional card on praying the labyrinth. You'll also have an opportunity to pick up a red bandanna in memory of Welles Crowther '99 who became known as the "Man in the Red Bandanna" for the handkerchief he wore as a protective mask while saving as many as 18 lives in the World Trade Center's South Tower before it collapsed on September 11, 2001.

MEET OUR AGAPE LATTE SPEAKER: FR. TOM STEGMAN, S.J. D e an, B os ton Co ll e ge S c h o o l of Te o l og y & Minis tr y

A member of the USA Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus, Fr. Stegman was raised in Holdrege, Nebraska. He is a graduate of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Philadelphia (B.A., Philosophy). He holds an M.A. (Philosophy) from Marquette University, and both an M.Div. and S.T.L. (Hebrew Bible) from Weston Jesuit School of Theology. He earned his Ph.D. in New Testament studies at Emory University. In his spare time, he follows the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
