MATTHEW ADEY Lighting Design
Celebrating 10 years of Next Move Annalise Rees is a visual artist who works in the expanded field of drawing including the use of moving image, sound and installation. Annalise’s work is informed by historical practices of exploration, navigation, and cartography and uses drawing as a method of contemporary way finding. With a particular focus on the maritime environment, Annalise has recently been investigating how physical and metaphorical manifestations of the unknown drive searching and enquiry for artist and explorer alike. She exhibits across Australia and has been an artist in residence in Tokyo, New Delhi, Sydney, Hill End and Darwin.
Matthew Adey is a designer and theatre artist from Melbourne. Under the moniker House of Vnholy, Matthew specialises in the creation of live performance, set and lighting design, installation and sculpture. Performance works by HOV include MONO-, HOMME and The Spectre of Death Looms Large Despite The Variable Messages Being Inevitable aka The Chairs. Collaborations in dance include works by Phillip Adams Ballet, Shian Law, Atlanta Eke, Natalie Abbott, Rebecca Jensen, Melanie Lane, Lilian Steiner and Jo Lloyd. Collaborations in theatre include works by Matthew Lutton and Human Animal Exchange, Rachel Perks, MKA and Red Stitch.
MORGAN HICKINBOTHAM Composition, Sound Design & Live Performance
Morgan Hickinbotham is an experimental composer, music producer/sound designer, photographer and filmmaker based in Melbourne who works throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. Since 2012 he has been working as a composer and sound artist for a range of different dance companies and choreographers including James Batchelor, Joshua Lowe, Amber McCartney, Chloe Chignell, QL2 Dance ACT, Dancehouse, and design companies Studio Hi Ho and Aēsop. In 2015 Morgan had his first solo photography show entitled Uncertainty in Melbourne. In 2017 Morgan toured with DEEPSPACE throughout Europe and participated in a residency at Théâtre National De La Danse Chaillot in Paris. The team will be presenting at APAM and returning to Europe in 2018. Morgan graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2012.
