LOD 200 (Schematic Design)

Thesecondstageofdetailconsistsofdetailsaboutthematerialsandtheirquantitiesof them.Thisstageshowsthemodelinitsentirety.Thedifferentmodelingcharacteristics aredisplayedaccordingtotheirexactshapes,sizes,locations,andorientations.This stagealsoincludesnon-geometricandnon-graphicalinformation.Eventhoughthis stageisapproximate,itcanbeused.

LOD 300 (Detailed Design)

Allmeasurementsandinformationrelatedtothemodelarenowpresentedinamore preciseform.Themodel’scharacteristicsarepresentedinamoredetailedmanner.The modelprovidesprecisedetailsaboutthedimensions,shape,quantity,position, orientation,andsize.Basedontherequirementsofrawmaterialsandotherresources, thedetailsarecalculated.Theelementsandthedefinitionoftheprojectaregivenhere.

LOD 350 (Construction Documentation)

Theactualconstructioncanbeginoncethefoundationhasbeenbuilt.Thisstageis whereclashdetectiontakesplace.Clashesareimmediatelyrectified.Aconnectionis madebetweenthevariousconstructionelementsandotherbuildings.These characteristicsarenotgraphical.

LOD 400 (Fabrication & Assembly)

Thisisacrucialstageofthemodelingprocess.Thisstageiswherethefinedetailsofthe modelareaddedforfinalexecution.Thisstageincludesalldetailsoftheproject.

LOD 500 (As-Built)

Thisstageincorporatesthefinalgraphicalelementsintothefinishedproject.Thisstage showsallchangesanddeviationstotheoriginaldesign.Thisfinalmodelservesasa referencepointforallfutureoperationalactivitiesrelatedtobuildingconstruction.It willbetherethroughouttheproject’slifecycle.
