PEER COUNSELORS FOR THE WIN At Back to School Night, senior Peer Counselor Peyton Gilbert explains the ins and outs of the club to freshmen and their parents. Gilbert, along with seniors Klaire Funderburgh and Caid Glas, represented the Peer Counselors, a program where students can talk to other students their age about different challenges that impact their lives. “Peer counseling is one of the many ways that Conifer combats the mental health issues that teenagers face today,” Gilbert said. photo by s.smith

CHEERING FOR THE BOYS As the varsity boys basketball team takes

the floor, junior Daniel Betsch cheers, decked out in his USA gear. This was the game where the boys became League Champs for the third year in a row. “I like coming to the games with my friends and cheering on the teams. I feel like we’re building a good sports community,” Betsch said.
