BUILDING FOUNDATIONS Madeline Potter, junior, builds the base for a robot for the BEST Robotics competition held each year in the fall. Potter cut a piece of plywood to hold the motors and cortex and created the base for the final forklift design. Team members worked on the robot after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. “BEST Robotics was a “warm up” competition before our main, FIRST Robotics, competition in March,” Potter said. photo by c. potter

I transferred to Conifer my junior year. Everyone was friendly which caused me to be extremely outgoing. Conifer brought out a side in me that I hadn’t once had. - Morgen Teff, junior I was worried high school would be like middle school with teachers who didn’t respect me. When I came into high school it was like a breath of fresh air. - Kennedi Pell, freshman Winter formals were always so much fun. They were cut short because of COVID, but you can’t do much about that. My freshman year will always stay with me. - Grace Troxler, senior I just moved here from Texas but I have really enjoyed my time here. I was scared moving, but it’s truly a welcoming school. - Hannah Hall, junior My old school had the same classes every day, unlike the block schedule here. I’m on the Rockies Scout Team, so this schedule makes it easier to get work done. - Kolten Hogzett, sophomore
