I’ve taken multi[ple clasess in the past two years, to prepare me for my carreer as a Nurse and I will be taking a course this summer too. After getting my basics done my freshmen and sophomore year, I decided to take classes that would help me in the carreer I am persuing. Junior year, I took anatomy and physiology because I know it is a major requirement for the nursing program. I also took Psychology (Level and AP) to learn more about the mind and how everything really functions. This is also a requirement for the nursing program. I was able to get college credit from my AP Psychology class, meaning that credit will be transferred and it will be one less class to take. During my senior year, I took pathophysiology, which is a class about human disease and how it spreads. I think that is a fundamental to preparing me for Nursing school. I also took AP Biology, in which i honestly, and i say this from the most profound part of my heart, struggled so much. Although biology isnt really focused on the nursing courses, it helped me learn about how to cope with the stress of real college classes. This summer, i will be taking a CNA course which will provide me the hands on experience of working in the field with patients and that environment. I really think it will be a great outcome.
Work Experience
I’ve been Working at Fiesta Mart as a Cashier Since I was 16. It was my first real job and thankfully, I’ve stayed there for 2 years already. In the time being there, I’ve been given a lot of roles in different departments of the store. I wouldn’t say I am the best, but I am good at what I do. They have given me multiple Gift Cards for an “Outstanding Job”. Just recently, I was assigned to manage the Crawfish boil that we do every weekend. I have to set up, cook and manage the stand. Sadly, after graduation, I will be moving on to other things and quit Fiesta.

Future Goals I’ am attending Sam Houston State University to obtain my BS in Nursing. Getting in the Nursing school is very competitive and I will need to work ten times harder. I’m excited to go to College because it has been a dream of mine and going to persue my dream carreer. The medical field has always caught my attention. I love helping others and making them feel loved and know that there are people who care for them.
