Personal Statement! My grandparents came over from Mexico for a better life and that is exactly what my whole family thrives for. My grandparents bought land and every single one of my family members including myself have started their first few years of life there. It is not on the best side of town but slowly but surely we all got out of there but still go back to visit and remember. I remember there were multiple late nights my mom would pick me up from my aunt's house, after she got out of her job and night college classes. Although she was tired, every morning she would get me ready for school and do everything all by herself. Everything I do, I push myself to do my very best because my grandparents came with a purpose and my mom worked very hard every day.
Resume School Achievements Honor Society I was in the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, and the National Spanish Honor Society. I worked very hard to get into all of these. Being involved helped me meet new people and learn new things.
Yearbook
I was in yearbook for three years and for two of those years I was a Ads/Marketing Editor. I loved this responsibility because I was able to encourage others and learn creative ways to market.

Work Experience
I have worked at H-E-B for more than two years, I started my sophomore year. I started as a bagger and I moved up positions in about one month to a cashier then later got trained in working in self checkout. I have gotten about three raises since I have started working there. I am excited to learn other positions as I continue to grow.

Work Experience
I have worked at H-E-B for over two years now. I have learned so many marketing and customer service techniques while working with an amazing company. I started off as a bagger and in about a month I moved up to a cashier then later I got trained in self checkout, with also earning three big raises. I can’t wait to see how much I grow in the future.

Volunteer Work Grocery Giveaway My church, TheArk Church, always does a grocery giveaway at least once a month. I always sign up to help serve our community with free groceries. I love doing this because the impact it makes and seeing all the happy hearts.
Montgomery County Food Bank I have helped the local Montgomery County Food Bank pack bags of loaded groceries for kids at local schools to take home on weekends. I learned that the Montgomery County Food Bank did this every weekend and summer to make sure kids And their families do not go starving.

Future Goals I currently got into A&M but not for my first choice major. I hope that whatever career path I go in, I’m happy and successful. I hope I meet great new people and travel the world as much as I can!
