elcome My name is Alyssa Bernald and I am a senior at Conroe High School. Throughout my high school year, I have been beyond blessed to have been elected in multiple positions that have given me the opportunity to be a leader. These positions include Junior Class President, Assistant Editor, Student Body President, Editor-in-Chief, National Honor Society President and a leader of Fellowship of Christian Students. All of these organizations to be a servant.

Whether it be to the community or school, it has been such an honor to be a part of so many things that have been able to be put into action because of my contribution. Yearbook has taught me what hard work is and I will love none other to take that with me to college next year. I will be attending Oral Roberts University to pursue a nursing degree. I feel more than prepared to take on the next steps in my life because I have had the best training. Whether it be making/ editing pages, attending community service or attending bible studies in the morning, this has been preparing me for the journey that has been set out for me and that I am ready to take on.

lyssa BriannaBernald Currently I am a senior at Conroe High School. My next steps in my life endeavors include going to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and obtaining my doctorate degree in nursing. After college I would love to travel for some time and then settle down in Oklahoma possibly. My ultimate goal is to eventually become a missionary, traveling to countries around the world and serving underpriveleged kids.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME I have one older brother who attends Blinn Community College in College Station. I enjoy reading, designing, spending time with family, coffee and church. I love being surrounded by new people and love to adventure. Some of my dreams include maybe one day opening a my own coffee shop/bookstore, traveling to every single continent and making an impact on everyone I come into contact with.

For the past couple of years I have been blessed to be able to work at the City of Conroe Aquatic Center. For the first two summers I have been a lifeguard which basically means that I keep watch over all the patrons that attend the facility. My responsibilities include cleaning the facility, attending inservices weekly and being certified in rescuing and first aid. This upcoming year, I applied and been promoted to Head Guard. This position means that I will be in charge of the employees on specific shifts. This past year I got certified to become a Water Safety Instructor, otherwise known as a WSI. This basically means that I teach kids how to swim and be safe in the water. Each session usually consists of a couple of weeks that I will interact with multiple groups dependent upon which level they are in their ability to swim. These work experiences have taught me what true responsibility, hard work and patience. It has been such an honor to represent the Aquatic Center well and also have fun while doing it.

uture Goals

As I have mentioned before, I will be attending Oral Roberts to pursue a nursing degree. These past years of high school have taught me what being a real servant means and I have absolutely loved it. I want to do it for the rest of my life, but for the people who don’t have the opportunities that we do.

My ultimate plan is to be a missionary nurse, helping those around the world.

With this in mind, I would also lovc to get my doctorate in nursing and maybe eventually become a professor at a college. With the Lord’s guidance in front of me, I am sure that whatever I do I will love. My own personal goal would be to be content with my life at the end of it and I wholeheartedly believe I will be.
