Alex Amaya Architecture Even though I am still young I am a very vivid planner, I know how to map out my ideas with just my thought. I know how to negotiate with the people I am partnered with.

Since my first visit to Texas A&M University I instantly fell in love with campus and I knew this is going to be the university I wanted to graduate from. Ever since I was 3 years old I had a passion for building, I would tend to express my creativity either on Paper or with Building Blocks, such as LEGO. I eventually moved on from building blocks and practiced my ideas on a video game called Minecraft. Before I could even realize it my ideas came to life. I became so Inspired with my work that I decided to start a small Project, I saved up the money I was earning working on the weekends cutting lawns that I went to Home Depot and purchased over 150 bricks so I could make a Fire Pit. The same day I finished my Dream, I made a 20x20 square ft platform and a 3 ft tall fire pit and grilled corn. I knew just from how dedication and with a great mindset I can accomplish a lot more.

Learning Outcomes In 7th and 8th Grade I took a computer design class, it taught me how to design and how to edit, which gave me opportunity to show off my ideas and plan out my projects before I continue. I took Spanish for two years, I was very drawn to the culture such of the design of the buildings with very much detail. In my junior year of High School I took Principles of Technology over Physics, we done projects that had to involve design so that it would be creative and quite stable, One of our final project had to involve building a bridge out of nothing but only tooth picks and glue. I designed the Brooklyn bridge and it was stable enough to hold a 4.3lb textbook. I’m currently taking Yearbook and since it is my first year here I am given simple assignment such as Modules. I take much pride in my work and I tend to out do my own expectations just to see how creative I can be. I built a Campfire, made a victory garden, and made a hammock post.

Volunteer Work
I worked as a Host at IHOP for and 6 months until I Realized that this dead beat job is getting me no where. Especially with the fact I had to dress like a clown, Making me do more work that I was Being payed. I was paid the minimum of $7.25, even though my job was just to bring people to their tables. I had cleaning tables, picking up the trash left on the tables, bringing the customers their orders, take orders, and get chewed out by customers because everyone was lazy and didn’t want to take responsibility. So I quit and started to work in Landscaping, I’d work on projects that included building gardens, sheds, and house etc.
-Donating clothes -Helping the kids in my neighborhood build a Tree House -Take care of the Elderly -Take care of Kids -Working in a soup Kitchen -Help clean up my Church -Donate money to charity -Participate in Food Drives -Participate in a Parade -Participate in a Kids Fest -Participate in a Festival that involved celebrating countries across the Americas -Did the props in Plays -Fixed Bikes for free when kids bikes would mess up -Participated in Veterans day -Advertise up Coming Businesses
Future Goals Since I did not Freshman Year serious as I intended to, I am going to go to Lone Star Community College. All the slots were taken for the Fall semester so I am going to have to take a Spring semester, I Felt shot down when I found that out but I looked on the bright side and I am going to take advantage of the time being and work full time for a whole year so that I can pay for college my self and on the spot rather than being in debt for the rest of my life. I am going to pursue an Architect career and spend 2 years at Lone star then transfer to Texas A&M University and finish the remaining 2 years to get my Bachelor degree in Architecture. After College I will try and start a career in my studies and stay in Texas for about the Maximum of 5 Years and use the savings of the money I earned and move to Washington. Before I arrive I am going to buy Private Property and start My dream home and live the rest of my life in peace with no neighbors to interfere with my Creative Intelligence .
