Work Experience: 1.) LakeView Marina this was my first
job. I was a tractor driver and the only female that worked there. I was valet service and put customeres in and out of the water and their stalls. 2.) Safari Heat Tanning Salon. I only worked here for a couple months just for some extra money and something to keep me busy after school. 3.) Now I have my own Boat Washing business and it is so far pretty successful for just now starting up. My dad works on boats and jetskis so he refers a lot of his customers to me and they also refer me to their friends.

Community College for the first 2 years after highschool then i plan on transferring to Texas State University. I want to attend TXST because the campus is beautiful and a great atmosphere of diverse people. I plan on getting my business degree and starting up my own business after college.

Narrative Essay Growing up southern has been a pleasure. I feel privileged to say I was raised with southern values and standards. Always showing respect with being well-mannered is something rare nowadays. I’ve been blessed to have a close relationship with my family. No matter the stresses of everyday life I know coming home would be the best part of my day. The four of us always spend a lot of time outdoors. Volleyball, Hunting, fishing, boating, I’m not your typical girlie girl. My dad taught my sister and I how to play volleyball, he was a tough coach. He knew how we could perform we just needed the push. Fifth grade I started playing club volleyball. I continued to play volleyball through my high school years for school and my club team. Coming from a very competitive family I was always told and reminded of daily “you get in return what you give”. For me it was more motivating to have the negative reinforcement. It became a goal of mine to prove that person wrong and to exceed my own expectations. I do not give up, I do not give in, I give it all I got without the fear of failure. One of my greatest compliments was being chosen to hold the captain position for both my teams every year that I played volleyball. I have a passion for volleyball, actually my whole family does. Trust me when I say no one wants to win more than my family! Having the opportunity to lead my teams wasn’t just a honor it was a great accomplishment. The end result was happiness, I now understand what my parents were telling me (“you get in return what you give”). There is no greater feeling than to look back and know I made a positive difference in other lives helping one believe in themselves. I have high hopes of being a female that leaves a legacy of success at whatever I choose. My mom and dad have always been a huge inspiration to me that I can always turn to for great advice. Truly I feel that there is nothing that either of them cannot do. My first job I worked at a local marina driving a tractor as a valet service to the clients that rented a storage unit/slip there at the marina. I loved my job. Being the only female at 16 that could back a boat or trailer into the water, stall, storage, or parking spot better than most grown men was another amazing accomplishment for myself. Having confidence in myself after hearing comments or seeing the shocked look on customer’s faces when they would see me do what they were thinking I couldn’t do. There’s something about that deep feeling of satisfaction to accomplish what others think you can’t or won’t. You see many people are alike but there is one little difference that makes a big difference and that’s my attitude. There is only one of me in this universe. I start everyday my way, no one predicts my future, and I’m here to create it myself. I think like a queen and I believe in myself and my future. I’m a leader that’s unafraid to be unique and set the trail for others to follow. Refusing to allow peer or societal pressures to conform me to what an 18-25 year-old female “should” be like or look like, instead I make my own path. Not only maintaining a positive attitude, by also setting positive examples makes for a positive difference in the lives around me. I value learning and being well educated, taking in as much knowledge as possible. Not only for my future or career but to improve in my life its self. Knowledge is power. Leaving home heading to college is the first step of being independent. At 16 I was responsible for managing my very own bank account. It was an advantage for me to understand banking, having a budget, and to save money. My pay check was set up for direct deposit, another helping hand for establishing a good reputation with my bank. Having the ability to financially provide for myself is a goal of my own. With a reasonable budget and self-discipline I will be able to balance yet treat myself appropriately after the necessities are paid. I do not want to start my career with the burden of massive student loan or any large amount of debt, after all it’s my own financial responsibility. Furthermore I enjoy applying for scholarships. Each scholarship I apply for demonstrates there are people such as yourself who believe in the wellbeing of the next generation. I set clearly defined goals of what I want in life. Behind me is infinite power, before me is endless possibilities. I can say with no hesitation nothing will stand between my power of belief when it comes to fulfilling my own goals and dreams.
Brennen, It’s hard to believe our little blond haired, blue eyed boy is graduating high school. Words cannot express how proud we are of you, not just for all of your amazing accomplishments, but also for the exceptional young man you have become. We look forward to seeing what amazing things will happen in this next chapter of your life.
