avorites Jesus- To be completely honest, I have no idea where my life would be without Jesus.

He has taught me so much, has been so merciful and has brought me to where I am at in my life right now and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Coffee- So I barely started getting into this addicting stuff that has turned my life upside down….or up? I don’t know. Since it’s all new to me, I enjoy trying all these new concoctions that make my stomach die (yes, I’m lactose intolerant), but thoroughly enjoy to say the least.

Clothes- My obsession with clothes has gotten so crazy, and I’m ashamed to say this, but I have filled up my brother’s closet with all my new clothes because my closet is about to bust with all the other clothes I have. The thing is….I have no shame.

Jewelry- I never really realized that I was into jewelry until I looked at myself in the mirror one day and saw that I had six rings, a charm bracelet, seven ear piercings and a necklace at the same time. I mean who knew? But yeah. I enjoy being all extra and showing off these beautiful pieces of ornaments that we wear as human beings.

Vanilla- If I could smell one thing for the rest of my life, it would probably be vanilla.

I know that’s probably weird but I just have this awkward obsession with this specific fragrance. I literally have it in lotion, perfume, air fresheners and everything else you can think of.

Car Air Fresheners- Ever since I got my car, the only thing I was worried about was how it smelled. It just HAD to smell good no matter what. So now I have a hidden stash of…..YOU GUESSED IT, vanilla car air fresheners.

Pineapple/Mango- Two things that I probably can’t live without? Def pineapple and mango. They make my tastebuds go crazy and have since I was child. I can eat it with anything honestly. Like throw it in ice cream. I’ll eat it. Throw it on pizza. I’LL EAT IT. Hot cheetos- I don’t know if this is a Hispanic thing or not but recently I have not been able to stop thinking of hot cheetos. Like I’m not talking about, you know, a thought here and there. I’m talking about instant salivation and eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yeah..idk what’s wrong with me.

Adventuring- New, new, new. I love new and exploring and seeking out the world that not everybody cares to see. It excites me. It can be a little scary sometimes, but what’s fun without a little risk?

our Years From Now Four years from now I believe that I have a plan in mind of where I am going to be but I feel like that is completely subject to change. I either plan to be married and traveling nurses with my husband. That depends on whether I find my significant other in college which, I honestly don’t know will happen. Another plan that could possibly happen is me staying at ORU to get my doctorate’s degree in nursing. To me, that sounds a little too intimidating because I feel like I am going to die with my degree already, but it just depends on if I’m up to the task at that moment in time. The last thing that I could possibly see myself doing is start my journey with missions. My ultimate goal is to become a missionary and do work on every single continent, besides Antarctica of course, and serve those in need.

“m Going to be OK Being that Tulsa is Oklahoma’s second largest city, it has much to offer to the population and visitors. Being that it is still in the south, temperatures are just the same as in Houston. That means bipolar, ranging from arctic cold and scorching hot. Listed below are just some of the main attractions that people may want to see. From Conroe, it is only about 8 hours travel time. To put that into perspective, that is about how far Lubbock is from Conroe. That also puts into perspective how big Texas is. People there eat the same things we do, wear the same clothes we do and talk the same way we do, so it shouldn’t be too much of a change.

R U Going to ORU ORU stands for Oral Roberts University that was founded by Oral Roberts himself in 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is a private, Christian institution founded on educating the whole person. It contributes to around 4,000 student educations. Not only is it founded on educating the whole person, but having it centered on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit being prominent in their education and everyday life.

I feel like the most defining moment that has shaped and influenced me today has probably got to be me finishing high school and going to college, not yet officially. I have an older brother and whenever he went, the family relationships were a little rocky and things definitely changed for me.

I knew that whatever happened in that situation, I didn’t want to happen to me. It was hard because it involved not only my immediate family, but my whole entire family. Looking back at it now, I realize that all of this happened for a reason at the exact time that it did. I learned from my brother’s mistakes and became closer to my parents, which is actually great because I didn’t know how much I would need them at this time in my life. Anyways, as I was saying, looking back at my life now, I can see so much growth in myself as a person, as a woman, and as a daughter. Everything has worked itself out for the better and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. It was so hard, I remember so vividly the pain, but life hits you hard sometimes and I’m so glad that I stuck through the punches.

Once I entered high school I quickly became plagued by the nastiness that surrounded the walls in and outside the school. It was so easy to give in to the worldly temptations that told me to be selfish, but it just left me empty. I soon made a promise to myself that there needed to be a change and I could be that change. When I became elected to Student Body President, I realized that I wanted to stand on a platform that would make an impact on the student body in some sort of way. I pondered in what I could do and took to social media. Instantly I realized that in today’s society, there was so much more hate than love. Then, I knew. That was when I started my SPREADLOVE campaign. I felt as if everyone needed to know no matter what race, religion, or gender that they were loved.

The world was filled with so much hate that I couldn’t stand to see it any longer. Whether it was saying it everyday on the announcements or tweeting it on social media, I knew that if I persisted enough, that one person would understand my vision. I overcame my challenge of being scared to conform to the world’s view of a typical high school experience by choosing to try and be a light to those around me. Now that I am coming to the end of my senior year, I see the wonderful memories that I have been blessed to have made with the greatest people, yet there are only a few that matter. The ones that matter are the ones where I made the most difference in someone’s life and the one where I made a big impact because that is my most important accomplishment. I have grown into a person who wants nothing more than to serve others for the rest of her life and it all just started with a decision to make a difference.

I know the topic says hero as in singular, but I’m going to make it plural and say that my childhood heros are my parents. People always say that you will never understand the love of a child until you have one and I believe that so much now. My parents continually show me patience, love and wisdom regardless of what I’ve done. From that, I have learned what unconditional love is. It’s going above and beyond for someone that you love. Because it’s so easy to give when it’s for someone that you love. Mom and Dad, I thank you for giving me life and filling that life with prosperity and with an attitude to take on the world.
