Being apart of these organizations has taught me how to be a responsible leader in and outside of school. Scholarship Essay
Going to college and earning a degree has always been a personal goal I have
planned to achieve. Growing up in a household where being in school each day and making all A’s is expected, has taught me that education is the key to a successful future. Even though it takes hard work and determination, earning a college degree in communications will give give me many opportunities in the workplace.
My goal is to complete a bachelor’s degree in Communications, at Sam Hous-
ton State University so i can learn all the important skills to be successful in such a competitive field. Interacting and meeting new people has always been something I’ve enjoyed doing and is why I hope to one day have a PR (Public Relations) position, so that I can go out and use my skills to help promote a business. After doing an internship this past summer at the CISD Administration office with Mrs. Sarah Wood and Dr. Don Stockton is when I came to a conclusion that Communications is what I want my future to consist of.
Having the aid of scholarships to help me with the expenses of college is vital
to my education. Although my parents work extremely hard and my family has done their best at putting aside money for my education,it will not be enough to cover the expenses for even one year. Receiving this scholarship for college will allow me to give back to my family and make them proud and will open so many doors for my future.

The Trophy House was my first job. My responsibilities where to help baby sit their son, but I also learned to assemble trophies and plaques.
At JCPenney I worked as a sales associate, where I would work the cash register and also help organize different departments in the store.
Back in Time Popcorn was a family owned buisness, while I worked their I helped assist costumers , cook, flavor, and serve popcorn.
