November (CHESHVAN in Hebrew) is when things wither, for THE FALL HARVEST IS COMPLETE. Wheat and barley seed for next year’s harvest are already prepared and planted, as Jews on Cheshvan 7 (October 29, 2025) began PRAYING FOR RAIN which “BRINGS FORTH BREAD FROM THE EARTH” . (This is an actual blessing proclaimed over the barley and wheat bread in Jewish Spring Feasts). So, another year of provision is already in the making, while the fruit from the latest harvest is to be enjoyed with gratitude and “THANKSGIVING” May this be true for you and your family as well, especially as government shut downs have made a full table seem difficult to attain!
Currently, Jews are praying for rain, while they remember that RAIN IS LINKED TO MESSIAH’s COMING in Hosea 6:3. Indeed, Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 24:37-39, His Return would be like the days of Noah and the flood. But, according to Genesis 7:7, God saved Noah’s family first, SEALING THEM INTO THE ARK one week BEFORE His Judgement and destruction fell upon Earth. and 10 days later, Noah’s family safely disembarked on dry land in Genesis 8:18-19! It wasCheshvan 27 nearly 4 thousand years ago (November 9th) when Noah entered a new Day or DISPENSATION of GodTHE AGE OF HUMAN GOVERNMENT (Monarchy).
Genesis 6:5-11 says God could no longer tolerate the violence on Earth from man’s self-determined righteousness in the Age of Conscience. After the flood, He commanded Noah in Genesis 9:5-9 to enforce justice, so mankind would once again prosper, reproduce and fill the Earth with His Glory Romans 13:4-8, explains how God designed government to enforce and maintain peace for those who give in “good conscience” what honor is due - taxes, revenue or respect; yet, prohibit those who disturb the “peace” through unrighteous acts and violence. Before the flood, man was forbidden to kill either man or beast, because Adam was a “husband” like God, designed to sustain and support LIFE. But once he believed a LIE - that he was EQUAL with God - death entered his heart and corrupted the order of all creation. And God tired of man’s rebellion, authorizing Government to enforce peace and bringjudgement upon evil doers.
In Genesis 10:8 10, man rebelled further as Noah’s great-grandson, Nimrod, united people to build a great city and huge skyscraper in rivalry with God’s power and Will. Rather than move as God commanded throughout the Earth, rebels stayed and built their own Kingdom in Babylon to overthrow God according to Genesis 11:2-5. Babylon remains a Kingdom of powerful men, usurping God’s Will until Christ Returns. However, God has not retracted His Word or man’s authority to govern. GOVERNMENT honors God and fulfills His Will, as believers use their positions of authority to support and sustain life, while justly and righteously dealing with evil doers. Even in evil Babylon, God’s people were required inJeremiah29:7,toseekthe welfare of the Kingdom through prayer. Believers must trust God, whose authority overarches even wicked rulers, to bring His Will forth as Proverbs 21:1 says. We’re reminded in 1 Peter 2:13-17 and Titus 3:1 to submit to governing authorities, but watch for the opportunity to do good, sacrificing as necessary to glorify God’s Name.
Matthew 10:16. Can we trust God, when the grains run short and governments want to trade souls for meals? Worldly Governments can enslave families in famine, even as Joseph did Egypt in Genesis 47:13-21. But God used Joseph to SAVE the world in a time of crisis and FAMINE. So, too, Christians must consider how God can use them to help someone make it through another day.
Joseph foreshadowed the life of Jesus with His 12 Jewishbrothers(Israel)who rejected Him as Father’s Representative Son and sold him for 30 pieces of silver. But the story also tells how the world and Israel will be united in a financial crisis (famine) before Christ returns. Everyone will look for a world leader to save them; but, a worldly government only feeds people to own them! ONLY JESUS GIVES REAL GRACE, knowing we cannot pay Him back!
Like Joseph in Egypt, Christians will find it challenging to serve God in the last days. Like Joseph, we must SERVE GOD in the midst of evil, not compromising what is RIGHT IN GOD’s EYES, but beingshrewdlikea serpentandharmlesslike adove for God’s Will to be done as Jesus warned in
Still, we must recognize the sign of the times we are in. Is it a coincidence that the government shut down has interfered with the food distribution system or is it more significant? Of course, we must pray for things to be made right, but I think it’s time to DEPEND ON THE LORD for our daily sustenance, as Matthew 6:11 states “Give us our daily bread” inthe Lord’s Prayer. It’s time to BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS OUR “JEHOVAH-JIREH” PROVIDER in all circumstances. Jesus is THE ARK prepared for God’s people to be KEPT from worldly destruction. HE IS
FAITHFUL and we have much to give thanks about becauseHe is! The FOOD SUPPLY WAS IN THE ARK, as Noah and his family weathered the storm of destruction on the Earth. Our God is THE SUSTAINER OF LIFE, a husband – protector and provider to His BRIDE, The Church!
George Mueller, the 19th century Evangelist who founded several orphanages in Europe during the great cholera outbreak, was a man of constant prayer. He tells of numerous miracles as God supplied what was needed without him ever asking anyone for help. Only God did he petition! One such time was when the 300 orphans were without food and he told them to sit at the table and to thankGod for the meal. As theydid so, a local Baker knocked on the door “Mr. Mueller, last night I could not sleep. Somehow, I KNEW YOU WOULD NEED BREAD this morning. I got up and baked three batches for you. Now is the time to take prayer, provision and God’s promises seriously, for we live in ever darkening days. Yet our God is THE ARK OF BLESSING AND SUPPLY!

Please be aware that government benefits come at a “price” just as they did in Joseph’s day. Christians must come together as the first church did in Acts 2:44-47. Prayer and sharing go farther than imagined, for Jesus multiplies 2 loaves and 5 fishes forthosegathered. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up TWELVE BASKETFULS OF BROKEN PIECES OF BREAD and fish.” Mark 6:4243 It is time, like Hebrews 10:25 urges to GATHER TOGETHER to support and encourage each other, because the DAY of Christ’s return is coming!
