Ecclesiastes 1:9
From sundown of March 13th to sundown March 14th Jews will celebrate PURIM, a victory won against the remnant Amalekite “Haman” in Esther 9:20-32. Purim is a reminder of God’s faithfulness to protect the Jew against the threats of a powerful individual, who sought their total annihilation. Purim remembers the Jews rested from war, because God intervened, saving them from destruction when it seemed completely impossible. Indeed, God dealt with Haman, turning his violent plans back upon himself! But history repeats itself! Today it is not Haman, but Hamas who desires to eliminate Jews President Trump is currently urging Hamas Leaders to cease fire, release the remaining 59 (of original 250) Israeli hostages (whether dead or alive) and sign a new peace agreement Whatever happens, something new is taking place, since restored Israel (1948) will never again be displaced from Jerusalem as Zechariah 14:1-5 states:
1The day when the LORD will sit in judgment is near. Then Jerusalem will be looted, and the spoil will be divided up before your eyes. 2 The LORD will bring all the nations together to make war on Jerusalem. The city will be taken, the houses looted, and the women raped. Half of the people will go into exile, but the rest will not be taken away from the city. 3 Then THE LORD WILL GO OUT AND FIGHT AGAINST THOSE NATIONS, as he has fought in times past. 4 At that time he will stand on the Mount of Olives, to the east of Jerusalem. Then the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west by a large valley. Half of the mountain will move northward, and half of it southward. 5 You will escape through this valley that divides the mountain in two. You will flee as your ancestors did when the earthquake struck in the time of King Uzziah of Judah. THE LORD WILL COME, BRINGING ALL HIS ANGELS WITH HIM… (in His 2nd Coming)
We understand JESUS is creator God and the ONE who establishes HISTORY itself! Christ the FINISHER of our faith in Hebrews 12:2 is also the AUTHOR! He AUTHORIZES the limits of what we can and cannot do for the sake of His Heavenly Kingdom and glory Ephesians 2:9-10 says BEFORE our salvation, Christ prepared (or authorized) good works for us to walk out in our lives These good works do not save us (so we mustn’t be prideful), because salvation is “gifted” to whoever confesses Jesus is Lord openly, while believing in their heart Christ is resurrected from the dead will be saved according to Romans 10:9
So good works can’t justify us, because God looks within us where no one can see our true motivations and intentions behind the works. Anyone can be used by God for good according to Proverbs 21:1 But willingly or unwittingly, people fulfill His prophetic plans! He is Sovereign, but we remain accountable for our individual choices to intentionally cooperate with or resist Him. But let’s be clear - individuals can unwittingly “spiritually” follow the patterns and or motivations of former Biblical people when real prophecy is being fulfilled. We see this in Matthew 17:12-13 when Jesus told the disciples John the Baptist was acting as an “Elijah”- confronting corrupt leaders and preparing people’s hearts for Christ’s reign, though few recognized it as a sign of His Coming! Elijah did not have to come back again, for John was fulfilling prophecy in the “spirit” of Elijah. Just as Christ’s first coming required key people to prepare His way, so, too, does His second coming. Could history repeat itself?
When President Trump recognized Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel on December 6th, 2017, he unwittingly became another Cyrus figure in the story of Israel. Israel, always ready to rebuild God’s Temple, affirmed Trump’s “spiritual” identity by minting a Temple Coin with the heads of Cyrus and Trump together! If Trump is a modern-day Cyrus, it’s by God’s design for Israel’s sake, but what might we expect to see happen under his hand? Is history repeating itself as the 45th President of the United States acts out several prophetic plans for Israel addressed in Isaiah 45:
1The LORD has chosen Cyrus to be king. He has appointed him to conquer nations; he sends him to strip kings of their power; the LORD will open the gates of cities for him …
4I appoint you to help Israel, the people that I have chosen. I have given you great honor, although you do NOT know me. 5 “I am the LORD; there is no other god I will give you strength, although you do NOT know me 6 I do this so everyone from one end to the other of the world may know I am the Lord and that there is no other god.…
13 I myself have stirred Cyrus to fulfill my purpose and put things right. I will straighten out every road he travels. He will rebuild my city, Jerusalem and set my captive people free No one has hired him or bribed him to do this ” 14This is what the LORD says: “The products of Egypt and merchandise of Ethiopia will be yours as great men come to you
like slaves. They will bow low to you and confess, ‘God is with you, - he alone is God.’”
15The God of Israel saves his people – he’s God who conceals himself 16Those who make idols will all be ashamed; all idolaters will be disgraced…
22 TURN TO ME NOW AND BE SAVED, all over the world! I’m the only God there is
23 My promise is true and will not be changed. I solemnly promise by all that I am: Everyone will come and kneel before me and vow to be faithful to me. 24They will say victory and strength are only found in me; but all who hate me will suffer disgrace 25 The Lord will rescue all Jacob’s descendants and they will praise Him.
Cyrus was given power to subdue leaders and nations that worshipped false gods, though he himself did not KNOW Israel’s God. God would humble or embarrass these idolaters through Cyrus, just as Elijah had mocked the prophets of Baal and John the Baptist harassed King Herod. Cyrus was merely God’s humbling instrument, not a holy or religious man believing on TRUE God Yet, Cyrus restored religious freedom back to those who worshiped the God of Israel Christians must recognize that a time to evangelize others like never before is unfolding. A great outpouring is promised to the final generation! Isaiah shows Cyrus bringing WORLD-WIDE EVANGELISM through Israel’s God, as he began to REBUILD Jerusalem, Judah and their Temple! Here is what Isaiah 44:24-28 foretold of Cyrus:
24“I am the LORD, your savior (Christ); I am the one who created you. I am the LORD, Creator of all things. I alone stretched out the heaven and made the earth, without help 25 I make fools of fortunetellers and frustrate the predictions of astrologers. The words of the wise I refute and show their wisdom is foolishness. 26 But when my prophet makes a prediction, when I send a messenger to reveal my plans, I make those plans and predictions come true. I say my people will again live in JERUSALEM and the cities of JUDAH WILL BE REBUILT. Those cities will rise from the ruins. 27 With a word I dry up the ocean. 28 I say to Cyrus, ‘You are the one who will rule for me; you will do what I want you to do: you’ll order Jerusalem to be REBUILT and the Temple foundation laid.’”
Again, we see Cyrus was chosen to rebuild the ruins of Israel and GET A NEW TEMPLE STARTED (Ironically, Trump is a BUILDER by profession, having built or restored numerous properties in his lifetime His interests are often real estate driven ) So, the first Temple was built by King Solomon and filled with God’s Presence (or Glory) at its dedication in 2 Chronicles 7:1-3. Then it was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BC The second temple, rebuilt under Cyrus, never housed the Ark of Covenant or God’ Glory again. Yet, in Luke 2:21-40, Jesus (God’s Glory) was dedicated as an infant there, though few noticed. And when Jesus was crucified as rejected “KING OF THE JEWS”, the veil in the Temple was torn and God’s Glory (Christ) departed Israel. Shortly afterward, the 2nd Temple was destroyed by Rome. Jesus lamented at the end of his ministry in Luke 13:35 that Israel’s house (God’s Temple) would be desolate (destroyed) UNTIL they witnessed Him returning as King, and shouted “BLESSED IS HE
WHO COMES TO US FROM GOD!”
Another Temple described in Ezekiel 40-48 could be the third and final temple where Jews declare Jesus is Israel’s true King and Messiah at His second coming! Ezekiel’s Third Temple would usher in Christ’s Millennial Reign. We see a pattern of God raising up a Leader to sponsor Temple building in Israel every time He wants to reveal something of Himself to the Jews (and the world) (This final temple may also be where Antichrist sets up his image for worship according to 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 and Matthew 24:15)
Along with each temple rebuilding, a world empire appears to enjoy great prosperity. King Solomon’s wealth was unparalleled in his day. Cyrus the Great enjoyed a great Golden Age before the end of his Empire. Likewise, Trump has predicted a Golden Age to bring prosperity back. But how?
Kingdoms advance on trade, so nations compete for market position and power using technologies to make business cheaper, faster, MORE EFFICIENT Each technological revolution results in labor or skills becoming obsolete: cars replaced horses, computers replaced typewriters and now AI is replacing human coders, designers and assistants! Quantum computing, artificial intelligence and robotics are now speeding along, while people are falling behind. The final kingdom of man will no longer be democratic or bureaucratic, but TECHNOCRATIC! Government, business and society will be run by technology with a small highly intelligent group overseeing the results This BEAST will act like god and rule over man. It must be in place before Antichrist can come from the shadows, since man is not omniscient, omnipresent or omnipotent like God. Technology will interface with every aspect of life, giving control and your secrets to the ones who run it. And like the Holy Spirit who advises Christians throughout the day, technology will be ready to answer every need or concern for its subjects. TECHNOCRACY is the Fourth Industrial Revolution which will buy, sell and keep watch over society. It’s already being established in 2025, as King Charles’ newly minted 2 Pound coin reveals. The words around the pupil say “Big Brother is Watching You!” Technocracy promises to make us rich, but will enslave us like never before. Pray and KNOW the Lord delivers those who trust and heed His Voice. Time is growing short! He is soon returning!
