SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY
TIME FEBRUARY 15, 2026 I have come not to abolish the law, but to fulfill.
Humanity's biggest intellectuals of all times, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Moses, Gandhi, Buddha, have always preached not to kill, not to rob, not to lie, not to commit adultery, or not to dishonor our parents. But all these rules are a natural law imprinted in our hearts. None of them has been able to go further.
Today, Jesus asks a lot more from us. Not to kill is not enough; not to use God's name in vain is not enough; not to commit adultery is not enough. On top of that, we also need to avoid what hurts our soul: angriness, resentment, hate, old wounds in our hearts; because all these actions destroy our spiritual life, the life that leads us into God's presence.This Sunday, the Universal Church celebrates the world day of marriage. Let us persevere in destroying anything that could damage the good promised by a covenantal marriage. Let us resist insane sexuality and deceit. Let us teach our children the difference between sex and true love.
As we approach the Eucharistic banquet, let us ask for the strength and wisdom needed to include the Lord in the center of your family and marital relationship Let us ask for the wisdom to understand that true love is something way far away from fake romanticism, and has nothing to do with physical attraction. Let us understand how marriage is a communion of love where the secret is represented by our desire to love and serve our spouse; without ever considering how you could use him/her for your personal benefit.
And all this is only possible because we were created in God's image and likeness, with the capacity to give and receive love. Let us ask Him for the strength to persevere, and to understand that marriage is a covenant of love way beyond our senses, able to suffer and deny itself for the benefit of the other Let us rejoice today because “ eye has not seen, and ear has not heard,what God has prepared for those who love Him.”

No he venido a abolir la ley o los profetas, sino a darles plenitud.
Los grandes pensadores de la humanidad, Sócrates, Platón, Moisés, Gandhi, Buda, han predicado siempre el no matar, el no robar, el no mentir, el no cometer adulterio, el no deshonrar a nuestros padres. Pero estas son las reglas naturales escritas en nuestros corazones. Ninguno de ellos ha podido ir más allá de ellas.
Pero hoy, Jesús demanda mucho más de nosotros. No es suficiente no matar; no es suficiente no jurar en vano; no es suficiente no despreciar; no es suficiente no cometer adulterio Tenemos aparte que combatir todo lo que nos daña internamente: coraje, resentimiento, odio, desprecio, o heridas del pasado, porque destruyen nuestra vida espiritual, la vida que nos lleva a la presencia de Cristo. En este domingo en que la Iglesia celebra el día mundial del matrimonio, luchemos por destruir todo lo que dañe el amor que llevamos dentro Destruyamos la mentira y la lujuria, enseñemos a nuestros hijos la diferencia entre sexo y amor verdadero.
Al acercarnos hoy a la Eucaristía, ofrezcámosle al Señor incluirlo en medio de nuestra relación Pidámosle sabiduría para entender que el verdadero amor dista mucho del romanticismo, y no tiene nada que ver con la atracción física Pidamos poder comprender como el matrimonio es una comunión de amor en donde lo importante es descubrir el modo de amar y servir a mí conyugue; sin jamás considerar siquiera como lo puedo utilizar a él o ella para mi servicio
Todo esto será posible porque fuimos creados a imagen y semejanza de Dios, con capacidad para dar y recibir amor Pidamos al Señor la luz que nos haga perseverar, y entender que el matrimonio es una alianza mucho más allá de los sentidos, capaz de sufrir y negarse a sí mismo siempre en beneficio del otro
Llenémonos de júbilo porque “Ni el ojo ha visto, ni el oído ha escuchado, ni la mente del hombre pudo siquiera haber imaginado, lo que el Señor tiene preparado para los que lo aman. ”

Ta đã đến không phải để bãi bỏ luật pháp, nhưng để Làm cho trọn.
Những nhà tư tưởng vĩ đại nhất của nhân loại kim cổ, như Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Moses, Gandhi, Đức Phật, luôn luôn giảng dạy rằng không được giết người, không cướp bóc, không nói dối, không ngoại tình, hoặc không bất hiếu với cha mẹ, Nhưng đây là những quy luật tự nhiên in sâu trong trái tim của chúng ta. Không ai trong số những vị nêu trên đã có thể đi xa hơn.
Hôm nay, Chúa Giêsu đòi hỏi chúng ta nhiều hơn thế. Không giết là chưa đủ; không kêu tên của Chúa cách vô cớ là chưa đủ; không ngoại tình là chưa đủ. Trên hết, chúng ta cần tránh những gì làm tổn thương tâm hồn của chúng ta; sự giận dữ, oán giận, ghét bỏ, ấp ủ những vết thương cũ trong lòng; bởi vì chúng phá hủy đời sống tinh thần của chúng ta, đời sống dẫn chúng ta đến với Thiên Chúa. In every age and in every place, the Catholic Church must read and then creatively and energetically address the signs of the times. The Church of today is not the same as it was 100, 40, or even 20 years ago,yet the Church is still functioning within the same structures and modes of evangelization.Although we Catholics treasure our traditions, we must recognize that the Catholic population has shifted. Society has changed dramatically over the last two decades. The percentage of the U.S. population identifying with a particular religion and observing religious practices continues to decline. Religious adherence is highest among baby boomers and decreases with each subsequent generation. Additionally, young adults are postponing marriage and having fewer children when they do marry The structures of our local Church are no longer as effective or sustainable as they once were. These macro trends are consistent in the Diocese of San José.

Chúng ta, những người thuộc Giáo Phận San José, hình dung Giáo Hội Công giáo tại San José phát triển mạnh mẽ và sống động, các giáo xứ và các trường học trong Giáo phận lan tỏa tình yêu của Chúa Giê-su Ki-tô Mọi người đều được đón nhận, và cảm nhận sự hiệp nhất và bản chất của mình, rồi từ đó, được canh tân trong đời sống đức tin. Việt Nam lớn tuổi sống trên đất Mỹ thường hay có những cảm giác cô đơn,bị bỏ quên.
Với mục đích trên ngày 5 tháng 2 năm 2026, Cha Phêrô Phan Thế Lực đã thành lập Hội Cao Niên tại Giáo xứ Chúa Kitô Vua để giúp qúy vị lớn tuổi có thể sống thư thái, sống vui, sống khỏe, và sống thánh thiện.Tâm hồn thư thái thì sức khỏe mới tốt hơn và như vậy sẽ sống đạo tốt hơn,tuổi thọ có thể được cao hơn.
Hội Cao Niên sẽ giúp cho qúy cụ, qúy ông bà có thể có thêm nhiều mối giao hảo với những người lớn tuổi khác,cùng ngôn ngữ,cùng một nền văn hóa nên có chung một lối suy nghĩ. Vì vậy qúy vị sẽ bớt đi cảm giác cô đơn khi mà con cháu vắng mặt suốt ngày.
Gia nhập Hội sẽ giúp qúy cụ và qúy ông bà thư giãn tâm hồn, hòa mình với thiên nhiên, Hội sẽ tạo cơ hội để hội viên du lịch, viếng thăm các danh lam thắng cảnh hay các di tích lịch sử. Đây cũng là các dịp để các cụ gặp gỡ và thắt chặt thêm các mối thân tình với mọi người trong Hội. Hội Cao Niên tổ chức họp mặt sinh hoạt tại Giáo xứ Chúa Kitô Vua vào mỗi Thứ năm sau thánh lễ 9:00 sáng. (Hội viên có thể đánh cờ, xem phim, nghe nhạc, đi dạo hay chuyện trò thân mật với nhau. Hai tuần một lần qúy vị sẽ cùng dùng bữa ăn thanh đạm nhưng thân mật).
Kính mời quý vị từ 55 tuổi trở lên, tham gia ghi danh vào Hội. Đến với Hội Cao Niên, quý vị sẽ thấy thoải mái, sống vui,sống khỏe,yêu đời và sống thọ với con cháu.
