IMPORTANT GUIDELINES AND PROTOCOLS TO ATTEND MASS:

DIRECTRICES Y PROTOCOLOS IMPORTANTES PARA ASISTIR A MISA

According to the Santa Clara County guidelines.

Effecive Tuesday, November 17th, all indoor Masses and worship services will be moved outdoor. We will also continue to livestream Masses for those who prefer to stay at home.

Please help us to keep the safety and health of all who attend Mass by observing the established safety protocols: • Bring your mask, wash your hands – No mask, no mass.

• Come at least 15 minutes early.

• Ushers will direct you to your seat.

• Please observe 6 feet social distancing at all times.

• Use your mask at all times throughout the duration of Mass.

• Stay at your designated space throughout the duration of Mass.

• Receive Communion in your hand, with mask on, then step aside remove your mask and use your free hand to place the Host in your mouth and put your mask back on.

• Collection baskets will not be passed but placed at entrance and exit for your offertory.

• Please do not stay after mass to allow us to disinfect all chairs, and other contact points before the next mass.

8. Holy Gospel “Give to the poor and you

Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

will have treasure in heaven.”

In today’s gospel passage Jesus teaches us that wealth and possessions are not a requisite to enter eternal life. “Go, sell what you have, and give it to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come and follow me.” These are the instructions given by Jesus to the rich young man. Jesus looked at him, and loved him, but the rich young man has a big obstacle to inherit eternal life, because he is not concerned about the kingdom of God; his true concern has more to do with the world. He was unable to resign worldly possessions to follow Jesus.

To enter the Kingdom of God is difficult for us all, the rich and the poor, if we are unable to abandon our attachments. We can understand how material possessions are not necessarily wrong by themselves; they are a blessing and a gift coming from God. If we decide to face them in the right way, we will be able to discover how true richness does not reside in what we possess, but in what we do for those in need. Here is the real problem; it is quite easy to put our heart into possessions, occupying the space that we must have reserved for God, the real Lord in our lives.

Material possessions are not a requisite for us to reach eternal life, but they can become real obstacles in our way into eternal life.

Jesus also uses today the metaphor of a camel passing through the eye of a needle. Today we are invited to discover how concerned we have been about the size of the eye of the needle through which we need to pass, without even thinking that we will be passing through with empty hands. Today we are invited to avoid worrying about the size of the door, or about how many possessions we will be able to carry.

Today we are invited to make the best of our efforts for us to get rid of all what limits and ties us. Today we are invited to not ever think what the size of our camel is. Today we are invited to discover that all we need for our journey is simply to look for the Kingdom of God and its divine justice, and anything else will come as a consequence.

Estas son las intenciones de oración del Papa Francisco

Intención Universal- Octubre Discípulos misioneros: Recemos par a que cada bautizado participe en la evangelización y esté disponible para la misión, a través de un testimonio de vida que tenga el sabor del Evangelio.

En el evangelio de esta semana Jesús nos enseña que la riqueza no es un requisito para ganar la vida eterna. “Ve y vende todo lo que tienes, da el dinero a los pobres, y así tendrás un tesoro en el cielo;” son las instrucciones que Jesús da al joven rico. El hombre aquel era un hombre bueno, había tratado toda su vida de servir a Dios. Jesús lo ve, y lo ama, pero aquel rico tiene un impedimento para entrar en el reino de los cielos, porque no está preocupado por él; su preocupación tiene más que ver con el mundo. Aquel hombre no fue capaz de renunciar a lo que tenía para poder seguir a Jesús.

Alcanzar el reino de los cielos es difícil para todos, ricos o pobres, si no renunciamos a nuestras ataduras. Podemos ahora entender que las riquezas materiales no son algo malo en sí mismo, son una bendición y un regalo que viene de Dios. Si decidimos manejarlas en la forma correcta, seremos capaces de descubrir que la verdadera riqueza no está en lo que poseemos, sino en lo que somos capaces de dar a los demás.

Pero el problema viene con nuestros apegos. Es muy fácil poner nuestros corazones en nuestras posesiones, ocupando el lugar que debe solo corresponderle a Dios, el amo y Señor de nuestras vidas. Las posesiones no son necesarias para alcanzar la vida eterna, pero si pueden convertirse en el mayor de los obstáculos parta entrar en ella.

Jesús usa también el día de hoy la metáfora del camello pasando por el ojo de una aguja.

Hoy somos invitados a darnos cuenta de cuan tan preocupados hemos estado acerca del tamaño de agujero por donde pasaremos, ignorando que nos iremos con las manos vacías. Hoy somos invitados a no pensar en el tamaño de la puerta, o en cuanta carga podremos llevar con nosotros. Hoy somos invitados a realizar el mejor de nuestros esfuerzos por despojarnos de todo cuanto nos ata y nos limita. Hoy somos invitados a ni siquiera pensar en cuanto mide nuestro camello. Hoy somos invitados a hacernos consientes que todo lo que debemos buscar es el reino de Dios y su justicia divina, y que todo lo demás vendrá por añadidura.

10. Vietnamese Blessing Sanctuary Bishop Oscar Cantú will come to celebrate 6:00 PM trilingual mass and blessing the Sanctuary on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

“Hãy phân phát cho người nghèo và anh sẽ có kho báu trên trời.”

Trong đoạn phúc âm hôm nay, Chúa Giê-su dạy chúng ta rằng sự giàu có và của cải không phải là điều kiện cần thiết để vào cuộc sống vĩnh cửu. “Hãy đi, bán những gì anh có, và phân phát cho người nghèo, anh sẽ có được kho tàng trên trời; rồi hãy đến và theo Ta”. Đây là những lời chỉ dẫn của Chúa Giê-su cho người thanh niên giàu có. Chúa Giê-su nhìn anh ta và yêu mến anh ta, nhưng người thanh niên giàu có gặp một trở ngại lớn trong việc thừa hưởng sự sống đời đời, vì anh ta không quan tâm đến nước Thiên Chúa; mối quan tâm thực sự của anh ta liên quan nhiều hơn là đến hạ giới. Hôm nay chúng ta được mời gọi tránh đi lo lắng về kích cỡ của cánh cửa, hoặc về việc bao nhiêu tài sản chúng ta sẽ có thể mang theo. Hôm nay chúng tôi được mời gọi cố gắng hết sức của mình để loại bỏ mọi giới hạn và những gì ràng buộc chúng tôi. Hôm nay chúng ta được mời gọi đừng bao giờ nghĩ tới kích cỡ con lạc đà của mình là gì. Hôm nay chúng ta được mời gọi khám phá rằng tất cả những gì chúng ta cần cho cuộc hành trình của mình chỉ đơn giản là tìm kiếm Nước Thiên Chúa và sự công bằng thiêng liêng của nó, và bất cứ điều gì khác sẽ đến như một kết cục.

Amen En respuesta a la generosidad de Dios Dios Generoso, sabemos que todo lo bueno proviene de Ti, estamos agradecidos por todo lo que Tú nos has dado, ayúdanos a utilizar nuestros talentos y nuestro tiempo para construir Tu Reino, ayúdanos para que po- damos compartir generosamente, de acuerdo con tu voluntad, todas nuestras bendiciones, para que cuando Tú nos llames a Tú casa respondamos como buenos y fieles custodios de Tus dones, Amen. Đáp lại sự quảng Đại của Thiên Chúa Lạy Thiên Chúa Khoan dung, chúng con biết tất cả mọi sự tốt đẹp đều đến từ Ngài, xin nhắc nhở chúng con luôn biết tri ân những gì Ngài đã ban cho chúng con, xin giúp chúng con dùng tài năng của mình để xây dựng vương quốc của Chúa, để chúng con có thể quảng đại chia sẻ tất cả mọi đặc ân Chúa ban cho chúng con theo ý muốn của Chúa, để chúng con có thể được Chúa mời gọi vào nhà của Chúa như những người quản lý tốt và trung thành.Amen.
