LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY AGENDA | 2020
The Chamber of Greater Springfield is the primary advocacy resource for its business members. It is our goal to make sure your concerns are heard by government representatives at the city, county, state and federal levels. The Chamber continues to build and foster strong relations with elected officials and government agencies. The Chamber’s focus is on the issues that have the highest impact on your cost of doing business. The Chamber is solidly behind business-friendly legislation and works with government officials to encourage their understanding of business and local community viewpoints.
Horton Hobbs IV (Chamber VP of Economic Development), Julie Heath (University of Cincinnati Economics Center Executive Director), Senator Sherrod Brown (D), Brad Evans (University of Cincinnati Economics Center Director of Research), Amy Donahoe (Chamber Director of Workforce Development) and Senator Rob Portman (R) meet in Washington, D.C. in December 2019 to discuss disincentives facing workers.
