Christopher Pardilla Agoncillo
Hello! My name is Christopher and welcome to my design portfolio!
I am a highly self-motivated and people centric interior design graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson) with an adaptable and collaborative mindset. Bringing 2 years of mixed experience in interior, architectural, and public art design, and over 5 years of customer service. I am most passionate about design technology, commercial and hospitality spaces, while dabbling in furniture design. My goal is to contribute my skill-set to an enthusiastic and collaborative environment that pushes the boundaries, designing solutions that create unique spaces for new stories to unfold.

During my tenure as an Architectural designer, I predominantly focused on Architectural Design, actively participating in client presentations and contributing to all phases of the design process.
This opportunity allowed me to dive deep into a dynamic environment, actively exploring innovative ideas and methodologies, thereby fostering significant growth in my skills.
The following is a list of tools and procedures I created automating several design tasks to increase project delivery efficiency.
• Auto Re-numbering of tag objects (Parking Stalls but not limited)
• Auto Sheet Set Creation
• Auto View placement on sheets
• Auto Generate enlarge plans
• Auto Dimension model elements
• Parametric Massing Family
• Parametric Typical / Universal Washroom Family
• Auto Renew date on drawing set
• Generative design

Client: Studio Pardilla
Site: Balzacs, IMA, Toronto
Intervention: Full space renovation
ILLA Café and Bar is another project dedicated to my late grandfather, Ramon Pardilla, who passed away on March 28th, 2022.
The renovation for Balzac’s Coffee House, located in the IMA building on the TMU campus, takes a maximalist approach. The space shifts from café to bar, rebranded as “Studio Pardilla.” The lighting emphasizes the louver-like canopy.
e open space is left table layout and for events.

e detail diagram shows a section assembly of the canopy structure that resides over the entire space. e use of solid wood panels aprx. 1” thick are connected by steel rods that run through the panels connecting them seamlessly creating an appearance as if it is only one panel. To achieve such an effect the wood panels are precisely cut with a CNC machine then brought in bundles for assembly. Once on site the panels are slightly adjusted and cut to lay flush with the support beams if in contact similarly to the diagram.
e wood support beam runs in parallel to the concrete beams of the space to better support the canopy structure. For dimensions, refer to DWG ID-200 01

Client: “Studio CJB”
Site: 401 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON Intervention: 1st and 2nd Floor
Group Contribution : BIM Modeling, Renders, Video Production
Tasked with developing “Studio CJB,” we began with furniture design, with a goal to expand into corporate interiors. Our mission: to foster spontaneous interaction and idea sharing by introducing “hoteling” areas, along with a focus on wellness, technology, and flexibility with a focus on lighting design. Challenging the conventional office cubicle, our iterative process prioritized efficiency and innovation.

Client: Habourfront Centre
Site: Skywalk, Toronto, ON
Intervention: West Corridor
“The Breath of Art” catalyst of creativity and connection at Toronto’s Skywalk, serving the Harbourfront Centre. This versatile space breathes life into diverse activities, offering a haven for creation, exhibition, and despite the urban rush. The rhythmic “riblike” louvers, dynamically transforms the space, seamlessly opening and closing sections to create varied spatial programs, all without the need for static partitions.

“Niyog” - my bespoke furniture collection, with the name derived from Tagalog for coconut, reflecting the envisioned upholstery material.
Infusing Filipino culture into the Western design language, I draw inspiration from nature’s textiles— fibers from fruits and plants, both upholstery and garments.
My vision: a furniture collection, a poetic homage to my heritage, where form and function intertwine in the dance of Filipino craftsmanship.

MidJourney | Stable Diffusion
Rhino3D - Grasshopper

In the ever-evolving landscape of Interior Design and Architecture, a paradigm shift is underway, heralding a new era of innovation and possibility. This technological advancement holds the promise of revolutionizing the way designers conceive, develop, and execute projects. By harnessing the computational power of AI, architects and interior designers stand at the precipice of a new era characterized by unprecedented levels of innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
Throughout the discourse of my research guided by Shai Yeshayahu, the aim was to focus on the following areas:
• Design Technology Skill Ramping
• Promt Engineering & LORA Training
• Key term database structures
• Generative AI Systems Workflow
• AI to 3D modeling and fabrication
These key areas are fundamental to developing the workflow between Midjourney - Stable diffusion and Rhino3D - Grasshopper. For this experiment I had to create a physics engine script to replicate potential loads and rigidity of the kinetic panels.

Mixed Reality - VR Installation

Our installation at the School of Interior Design Year-End Show 2023 seamlessly merged virtual and physical realms, creating an illusionary reality. Using both a physical installation and VR components, we invited viewers to explore and interact with a captivating virtual environment, blurring the lines between the fantastical VR experience and the tangible materials in reality. Chosen through a competitive pitching process, our installation was featured at Space On King in April 2023.
