Christopher Podlin

Christopher Podlin is a Tampa Bay-based dermatology healthcare professional with a background in biologic coordination, specialty medication access, clinical operations, and medical assistant training. Raised in Odessa, Florida, he developed discipline, teamwork, and leadership through years of travel baseball and school activities before pursuing higher education in biology and healthcare sciences. Podlin studied biology at the University of Florida, where he participated in the Honors Program and earned recognition as a Golden Key member. He later completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at St. Petersburg College, graduating magna cum laude in 2023. His early healthcare exposure included nearly 100 volunteer hours in the radiology department at Shands Hospital and more than 50 hours of medical and surgical shadowing with an orthopedic surgeon. Before fully advancing into healthcare, Christopher gained operational leadership experience at Publix, where he served in various roles, including Grocery Team Leader. This experience strengthened his skills in team coordination, workflow management, training, customer service, and high-volume operations. At Suncoast Skin Solutions, Chris Podlin works across a dermatology organization with more than 35 offices throughout Florida. As a Lead Medical Assistant Trainer, he has helped train providers and medical assistants on clinical workflows, EMR systems, documentation practices, and operational standards. As a Biologic Coordinator, he manages specialty medication access, prior authorizations, insurance verification, pharmacy communication, and patient treatment support. Podlin's work has contributed to faster initiation of biologic and systemic treatments, improved workflow efficiency, and more organized patient access processes. He has also supported the adoption of healthcare technologies, including EMA EMR systems, CoverMyMeds, and Tandem, an AI-driven prescription routing and prior-authorization platform.
